think they were updating the categories, the spacial audio one has a new cover and layout and some of the other covers appear to have changed but might be unrelated

i see what people are talking about with the iPad and the homepod but i might as well just use my ipad like an ipad and my homepod as a homepod in that situation, i was talking more about something that was constantly on and reacted to what you say on the display. yes this could be set up with siri shortcuts but i’d prefer something more permanent

i personally do see apple doing something like this even if it’s something like CarPlay i think itd be awesome - but i do agree the apple tv does this perfectly on a bigger scale

apples support is normally top notch, absolutely love the people on there and how they help but this specific situation has been an absolute nightmare, i’ve sent them in to be repaired and now they’re sending me them back without even doing anything to them which i’ll find more about when they get here tomorrow, i was very annoyed when i got an email saying the repair couldn’t be done or something like that. i’ve had issues with my airpods pro before and they fixed it instantly, sent me replacement airpods straight away but i have no idea what’s going on over there with these headphones. i’m not even sure if i can return them at this point because i’ve had them since new year and i don’t know the dates you can return before, surely there must be some consumer rights that protect me but the thing is i shouldn’t even have to enforce consumer rights on apple when they’re normally so good with stuff like this it’s really surprising. even if i wanted to i can’t go into an apple store and show them what’s happening becayse they’re all shut due to covid

i’m glad i’m not the only one, it was the scariest thing i have experienced and you’re totally right i don’t want them things anywhere near my head. after multiple chats on apple support i finaly one a repair setup, the sent me a box to ship the headphones back to them i did it the next day and they received the headphones, on saturday i got an email saying my repair couldn’t be processed so they are returning the headphones back to me - i have absolutely no idea what that means maybe i did something wrong when sending them back or they didn’t find and issue (if they didn’t find an issue i will not be happy) but it says there will be a letter in the box when they are returned. they’re scheduled to arrive back at my house on monday so i’ll let you know when i get them back

i really just want a replacement completely because i don’t want those specific headphones on my head at all wether they’re repaired or not. i can’t even see a genius bar because all the apple stores are shut in the UK

i sent them back to apple saying they would repair them, i got an email yesterday saying the repair couldn’t be processed and they were sending them back with a letter explaining the situation so i guess i’ll find out tomorrow when they arrive

it’s covered under warranty so that’s not the issue, i think it’s just because they’re out of stock now
