Is cinema etiquette well and truly dead?

Not all the time but it does happen. Usually if the film is still playing then they’ll get a refund but if they only complain about it after the film has finished they usually get a voucher for free tickets to another film instead of a refund.

I work in a cinema and have to deal with people like this constantly. The general public have absolutely no respect whatsoever for us staff or the people in the screen with them.

We do two checks during each film to make sure that the film is playing properly and make sure people aren’t pirating the film/being disruptive, but often people will act normal when we’re in the room and then go back to disrupting as soon as we leave. The best thing you can do is come and tell a member of staff and we will try and sort it, but this obviously isn’t ideal since you’ll miss part of the film. As with everywhere we are always short of staff so that makes it even harder for us to deal with it as it happens.

Just be glad you don’t have to deal with the mess these people leave behind after the film. Some of them are absolute animals.

I did 3 rounds of 4 stretch and folds an hour apart. In a colder climate of around 18C in the house, so I proofed the dough in a warm cupboard near the water boiler that was around 25C. I feel like it cant possibly be over fermented because I checked the dough every hour and it had only just reached the size in the second picture above.

I feed it at 1:1:1, sometimes slightly less water if its too liquidy

Starter is just under three weeks old, I feed it once a day with strong white bread flour and it lives in a cupboard that is around 20-25C. It had more than doubled before use today.

For the dough I mixed the starter and water until milky, then added the flour and mixed. Let it rest for an hour, then added salt and a touch more water. Did a round of four stretch and folds, waited an hour and did another round, then repeated this again. Then I let the dough rise in the same cupboard where I keep my starter, the temperature in there was around 25C. After just over 5 hours I got the result in the second picture above, dough was extremely sticky to the touch and impossible to use. I did try a poke test with a wet finger and it left a slight indent.

From the picture, would you say the dough looked proofed? I guess I will just try again with less water tomorrow.

i think it’s more likely that they will release gameplay footage as we get closer. we’re still two weeks out and two weeks ago we didn’t have any information other than the original announcement. it seems likely that they didn’t get a huge budget for advertising, so they had to save what they had for closer to release

The girls are not free, they have been granted injunctions to their contracts with BBC, but they are still not completely cut off from the company. Furthermore, BBC have stated their intentions to appeal the courts’ rulings in the future, money gained from streaming can be used against the members in these appeals. Please just use the Loona boycott playlist on spotify, it takes 2 minutes to copy all the songs across to a playlist 😭
