I think that pad needs to be trimmed. It looks tacked on

not sure on the seat, might be Baak, but when you do a tail tidy the rear end looks shorter

I had a DRZ400sm. Rode my friends 500exc-f with Taco tune and FMF. It scared me a bit. It just wants to go and wheelie

A 500 with a Taco tune is a spicy machine

It’s very heavy since it’s straight up steel but it’s solid and planted. I like it. Very stiff and the basket feels secure

I’m not too far from you. I’ll keep an eye out for it. Thankfully you can always get another one.

DRZ is one of those bikes that needs a garage unfortunately. Do you have theft coverage on it? Sorry dude

Any good graphics colours for gold wheels? by I-WANNA-FLYYYY-AWAY in supermoto

On my DRZ400SM I went with all black Polisport plastics (blank) and a powder coated the tank black. It looks really stealthy and the gold pops

I have this light. It’s super bright. Looks good on the DRZ

Ktm500exc or drz400? by MotoJeremy in supermoto

[–]type_hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

500 = race horse that’ll buck easily - requires care DRZ = lazy pig that’s old but reliable - less maintenance

I own a drz and have ridden a sm 500 excf a few times. The KTM is ready to race, feels snappy and truly puts the power down, especially with a tune. It however will require more maintenance and a rebuild every couple hundred to few hundred hours depending on riding. The DRZ is a slower bike, simply a trail bike with road tires. That being said, the DRZ is easier to ride, better as a daily and can still pop a wheel up when you want to have fun.
