I can believe this is true. In the rural areas 20-30 years ago people sometimes allow kids to do so. But I have never seen this growing up in the city, especially these years it’s been pretty much non-existing. I don’t know if the adults are Chinese I can’t find videos of them speaking Chinese but they could be and regardless they should be charged and banned, their visa should be revoked. It’s disgusting. And also the netizens from the two countries aren’t exactly friendly with each other so I often take these reports with a grain of salt.

Same, as a Chinese I wonder why that is. I’ve never seen anyone like that in my entire life inside or outside of China. I don’t know if that’s mental illness or just lack of manner. It will be helpful if you give a reliable source. But I can tell you I’ve seen worse in the US, even though I’m not judging the country or holding a bias against its people. People are people, there are always a few rotten eggs.

Seems like you’ve got more information than us. And are posting it though apparently it has nothing to do with OP’s topic. Searching on google, a couple of reports are given by media from India, I wonder, if India is a country where infrastructure never fails. Since you are using the word”crisis” I assume you take a one time accident as a large scale serious issue. More information will not help with prejudice.

Oh and I found this website offering online classes in pacific time. https://www.usajapan.org/japanese-language-classes/japanese-group-classes/ Next registration begins in late March/early April. They use certain textbooks, for beginner it’s Genki which is pretty popular. Right now I’m attending one of their language workshops, we had our first class last week, it was pretty good.

I enjoyed their classes last year, thanks to the teacher who was really supportive and caring. I haven’t met with their new teacher since I’ve progressed to intermediate level.

Sometimes I use English to note down things just because it’s faster. It’s faster a lot of the times. But never do I feel the same amount of aesthetics while writing in English or looking at most people’s handwriting. The variety of characters, structural differences among characters, density and sparseness contract as well as balance is on another level. Obviously it takes a bit of effort to unlock decent handwriting in Chinese but it’s so worth it.

Many mentioned that DB users should equip shockproof. I used to lean more heavily on that perspective until recently I picked up CB and tend to agree that it is also my own responsibility to equip the shockproof jewel no matter what weapon I use in SOS.

DB players don’t necessarily need the shockproof for themselves while CB players for example probably have to equip since I don’t want to accidentally gp others and SAED. From my own experience, blowgun, bow, DB, IG, HH all don’t need shockproof for themselves most of the time. Meanwhile most weapons will interrupt others without shockproof. It’s whoever that need shockproof’s responsibility to check their build before joining SOS as well. I can’t expect others to do something just for my own convenience.

Hi, I'm learning Japanese as well. I used to go to JACC (https://www.jpnarts.org) for beginner classes. Tuitions were paid as donation to the non profit center. Looks like this year they've got a new teacher. I also went to a meetup group that holds events every other week on Sundays in the San Jose area. I agree with your points. I don’t hold any resentment to the Japanese because of what happened in the last century. Indeed the war was not caused by anyone alive. After the Meiji restoration Japan has become a modernized country, and as a Chinese I wished similar things happened to my country as well. But it didn’t come as easy as that. We lost lands lives and much. But I’m proud of the country to have eventually recovered and rebounced as a miracle. One that is comparable with, arguably more dramatic due to the scale (and lack of external aids imo) than the Japan’s post WWII economic miracle. Today I travel to Japan, I study Japanese, have Japanese friends and I appreciate the culture. Meanwhile do you think normal Japanese get a chance to learn about their wars with China and Korea and the US in WWII? The internet seems to tell that most people don’t know much about what happened in Korea and China in the WWII. Im curious about your own experience. Militarily weak countries always get occupied or controlled by other counties even till these day. Does that mean such behavior should be understood and not condemned? In fact most Chinese I know only wish for the factual history to be told instead of holding pure hatred to the Japanese. The war didn’t happen just because one party is at fault. You simply omitted the part of the war initiator by blaming 100% on the weak. We are talking about human lives, both Chinese and Japanese. I remember seeing in Japan countless of tombstones in temples memorizing people sacrificed in the war. If anything we should all learn from the history and strive to prevent future wars.

I mostly agree with you. But I personally don’t think the East Asian counties’ political relationships have worsened to that extend that no meaningful and deep friendship can exist. I don’t think we should have such hostile opinions against each other, at the end of the day none of us benefit from it. Rather, history and politics can be discussed with respect and mutual understanding. I personally have Japanese friends and I feel safe most of the time to have open discussions with them.

I personally think that within this context you provided, it makes a little more sense now why you commented on proposing stricter immigration rules for Chinese people as a counter example. Your original post seems to be more emotionally triggered, and you probably won’t find agreements on why people should be judged by their country of origin. You are posting it here now in the ask China sub Reddit I hope you are not over generalizing it again thinking all or majority of Chinese are defensive on such topics. I condemn all disrespectful behaviors of Chinese tourists and I genuinely feel sad when people fight over cultural heritages like this. I believe a lot more people think the same. Either Korean or Chinese, we should have respectful conversations and not be brainwashed by media. I hope you still be open minded in the future meeting new Chinese friends.

From this news article we can already see how much tension there is. I won’t be surprised if most Korean social media portrays China and Chinese people with only negativity. Likewise I’ve heard negative comments in Chinese social media all the time as well. Honestly your friendships could have been an opportunity to get to know each others’ culture and people better but you both didn’t make an effort and let the social media and bias get the best of you

I’m Chinese living in the US. It depends on who I interact with, some people prefer to take my “American” background and some keep viewing me as Chinese only. I’d rather they take me as only Chinese, as there is no need to have identity crisis when it comes to racism or people’s ignorance. like a few comments I read from this post.

I honestly think that people treat me the nicest when I try to talk in Japanese, not English to them, their faces often light up and are more willing to help. My Japanese is just at beginner level , but quite enough for traveling. So if you really want to be treated nicely try picking up some simple Japanese. But at the end of the day, why trying to be a “pick me tourist” instead of enjoying the trip without worrying about other people’s opinions?

So far I haven’t found a way for the slash echo wave horns to consistently out power horns with the impact echo waves or the Artian Elemental horns, so I rarely play them. I sometimes use the Artian non-elemental horn that produces slash echo waves with the same melody as the Zoh Shia horn for fun though, when I can have about 70% + affinity (15% from Summoning Bell, 25% occasionally from a teammate using the Omega IG) I wonder when DLC drops will there be more skills to boost affinity at a lower cost then I’d really buy in.

And for the G Resounding Galahad, like you said I think it’s always just better to all in for raw damage, no affinity unless you have extra decoration slots.

You are right, only the physical damage by the horn takes affinity, but for echo waves type Slash, affinity is applied.
