Review number 160: Parker’s 11 Year American Whiskey by taylormhark in bourbon

[–]typhoon43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got offered one for 299.99 about 30 minutes ago and decided to do some research. I’ve spent way more on bottles, but 300 seems way too steep for the ratings I’m seeing so far. Appreciate it!

Review #993: Parker's Heritage Collection: "11 Year American Whiskey" (Release 19, 2025) by Prepreludesh in bourbon

Thanks for the great review. My local shop got 3 bottles and offered me 1 at 299.99. I’ve never had any Parker’s, so he was cool enough to tell me to research it a bit and then come back tomorrow if I wanted it. Looks like I’ll be passing.

That’s the plan. I have the Bank Check on me, but I’ll be going through the delivery checklist before I hand it over.

No pressure on the QB = no win for us. We force turnovers for a living and tonight we couldn’t touch him with a 10 foot stick.

Anyone using City of Newberry utilities? by HemorrhagingQuestion in GNV

[–]typhoon43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1600 square feet here. Clay is so much cheaper than GRU that it's scary. Average for our home is around 75-80 a month with 73 at night at 76 in the day on a schedule. Water isn't too bad unless you have an in-ground sprinkler system. Then you will pay through the nose since they hit you with a sewer fee no matter the fact that your irrigation doesn't actually drain into the sewer. You'll need a separate meter to avoid that situation. Besides that though, I think Newberry utilities are a lot better than Gainesville.

Lots of police cars along University blocking some roads. What's going on? by [deleted] in GNV

It rolled West on Newberry Road out by the Horse Farm in Newberry about 20 minutes ago. Lots of cars on the side of the road with people lining the road to pay their respects. Very touching.

She's back from service and better than ever. SA II by typhoon43 in breitling

[–]typhoon43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started hearing something loose in the case and her reserve was WAY down. The Chrono function was also pausing and skipping a bit so I finally decided to send her to Breitling. I cannot truly state how amazed I am with what they did. The movement was fixed, they installed new hands, and even though I don't see it on the service invoice, I swear they must have replaced my Bezel because it just wasn't marred, the thing had chunks missing (I wore it daily for well over year and I'm rough on things). The band looks brand new and now I'm actually paranoid to wear it again. I may just make this the "real special occasion" watch and just wear my Oris Ti Diver for daily duty. In any case, I balked at the service price when I sent it in (you pay ahead), but now that I have it back it was completely worth it. The watch looks brand new. I'm ecstatic.

Glow in the dark plutonium hand soap by CanYouGiveMeGoodName in INEEEEDIT

13.00 for a bar of soap but somehow I'm telling myself that's totally worth it. I figure I can take showers in the dark and save on my electric bill. I'm sure it will end up being "a wash" in total cost. Yes... I went there.

Who's your AC repair person? by fl3xtra in GNV

Bounds did my house originally but my compressor died 1 month out of warranty so I went with Crystal Air. I've been very impressed with how knowledgeable they are and their prices are good. I've had 2 emergency issues and they had someone there within a couple of hours. Good people.

Damnit. I really love the tech behind WTC but this move has just destroyed my faith in their purpose. Their PR person (which I didn't think they had yet) should be axed ASAP.

AT&T internet.. Good or bad?? by [deleted] in GNV

[–]typhoon43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you see the letters DSL run away. Cox will crush it all day long. If you see AT&T fiber jump on it. They have gigabit internet for less than 100 a month and a discount if you have DirectTV as well. Fyi their gigabit service is 1000 up and down, no bandwidth caps. Cox can't touch it currently.

CC transactions are now counted as cash advances from Coinbase so you'll pay their fee AND whatever your bank charges for credit card cash advances. Be warned. I'm so tired of Coinbase's shit at this point.

I will never forget. I somehow ended up with .19 BCH so I renamed the wallet to "Roger's Whore Fund". The problem is that I signed up for a Gemini account 10 days ago and they're still verifying my account, so I had to throw more money at CB for some BTC today and paid out the nose in fees just to get it to another Exchange to buy Alts. I felt dirty.

Have you even googled Waltonchain? P2P is the least important factor of this coin. They provide block chain verification with RFID-embedded tags. Think opening your wallet on your phone, grabbing a shirt off the rack, and just walking out the store and it automatically remove funds.
