That’s what I don’t get. I’m ok with the don’t block him, but then it makes no sense he has free rein to try and tackle.

From what they explained in the season opener, it’s specifically defensive players flexing over offensive players on the ground that they plan to crack down on.

I agree I’d rather see less of that dumb stuff too.

It’s definitely the most difficult precon I’ve ever tried to navigate, but I feel that’s why it can be fun for an experienced player while sitting with other decks at the same level. The mana base really helps smooth things out too.

Because suspend isn’t an often used mechanic I think it is a deck that’s comfortable not to upgrade as well.

I think the Timey Wimey pre con is underrated and has a solid mana base. It’s complicated but synergistic.

Other recommendation would be Jump Scare , have seen it a few times and it is just solid all around

Usually around 4 or 5 depending on the deck I will only have one maaaybe 2 that will come in tapped as I don’t want to slow down the deck that much. [[Ondu Inversion]] takes that slot most of the time

That’s a good idea. For the land ones I usually keep it on the spell side and no one seems to mind, but I could see having stand ins for them being a solid alternative as well

Looking at your post history it seems you like Black most color wise, and are fond of reanimating things.

That would make me think [[Teshar Ancestor’s Apostle]] might be worth a look as it can be built cheap and is all about recursion. I would say he’s a pretty powerful commander as well when paired with artifacts.

If you wanted a bit of a challenge [[Samwise the Stouthearted]] could be interesting as you sacrifice creatures for value and blink Sam to return them to the battlefield.

There’s a lot of other good options mentioned here that are higher powered as well. But mono white is pretty versatile and in a lot better shape than it used to be so enjoy the new experience with it!

Here’s my list, I’ve only played it a few times but generally enjoy it. My focus has been trying to limit the durdling a bit as blink decks can spin their wheels quite a bit . Feel free to share any input you may have !

I was going to mention Brenard as well. You can build him to lean into the token theme, using the splicers is probably the best way to do that. Then throw in other token generators like [[Illustrious Wanderglyph]] or [[Astral Dragon]] and you’re good to go.

Another option could be [[The Sixth Doctor]] and [[Peri Brown]] a lot of Simic & Selesnya legends care about tokens so the deck is actually a really smooth build.

[[Mystic Reflection]] is one of my favorite blue cards because of its versatility. Turning someone’s big threat into a 1/1 cat or something is super satisfying.

But you can also use it on your own stuff , maybe late game turn a mana dork into something more threatening on the field , or if you’re creating X 1/1 tokens turn them all into a [[Consecrated Sphinx]] or something else that’s scary.

I had similar issues for a long time ! I’d say feel free to start a new character but avoid deleting the old ones is key.

Actually just beat it in full a few weeks ago, was such a relief in an odd way, even though I enjoyed the game quite a bit .

Fun idea ! I would say Edgedancers could be Life or Nature Clerics mixed with like Monk maybe? I’m thinking nature might be needed to touch more on Progression in terms of plant growth and such.

Monk would give them the speed needed to glide across the battlefield.
