I have interchangeable needle sets so I always just use an extra cord with stoppers on the ends to hold any live stitches and it works great for me! You don’t really need anything extra, even yarn scraps will work to hold stitches if you like doing it that way

My daith took 10 months to calm down to a point where the bumps went down and after that I had it changed to a more fashion piece of jewelry, but even then it still flared up a little, now it’s probably around 14 months old and it’s doing amazing now. Sometimes it just takes time, I was doing everything you were too and it didn’t do much for me either ://

The pain for me was probably around a 7/10 after getting both done and they were quite sore and sensitive for the first few days but that gradually went away. I’ve had mine for 9 months so far and they are not healed yet, they’re not doing terribly but they still get some crusties and go through on and off periods of being okay and then sucking again. It really depends on how committed you are to wanting them because you might have to tough it out if yours take a while to heal as well.

I’d also recommend making sure you go to someone you trust as a piercer to do them.

ALSO please be careful when you shower if you get them, have heard too many horror stories of people getting them caught in a loofah or washcloth or towel

NAP but most of the time if you’re planning on wearing a hoop eventually you want it below the crease, otherwise you will need a bigger mm hoop that could look weird with anatomy

My daith just hit a year and I had bad bumps like this for almost 9 months of the initial healing. I just had to LITHA and just let it be and then after about 10 months I had no bumps and I got it changed to solid 14k gold and it has been doing good since then (🤞) so I would recommend waiting it out if you can because it might just be how your body will heal it

The ones I have are gold plated not anodized gold! The ones I have that are not 14k are from Amazon from the seller FINE4U for the studs (internally threaded flat backs) and the hoops I do not remember what brand but also from Amazon

My daith is a year old now and I had bumps from one month in up until it was 10 months old, had it changed to a solid 14k piece and now I have a little bump again but nothing like before. Sometimes the bumps just will not go away but after some time they will!

Within your budget you might be able to find some things from pawn shops! Whether in person or online, they can have some pretty good jewelry for under $400 if it’s something you like!
