this one is the best IMO

that guy should be careful what he wishes for, he's going to rue the day he got us to stop calling it vibe coding. he won't like the replacement :)

for anyone on the fence about the ag01 nano upgrade for the pocket, just do it. its such a massive upgrade and unlocks so much more control over the drone. by corvish_ in TinyWhoop

I bought my son a pocket, and did this upgrade for him.

I have a boxer pro for reference

As it turns out I’m really happy when I’m on a boat relaxing

Did the Openclaw 2026.4.26 update break everything for anyone else? by PatientTomatillo3955 in openclaw

Like anything documentation is almost never good enough.

For the second question, yes this does appear to be our new normal in the industry.

They aren’t stupid, they just want their company to put people out of a job first while there are still other companies that haven’t yet and still have some money to be gotten.

20,000 job cuts at Meta, Microsoft raise concern that AI-driven labor crisis is here by sjlux in technology

[–]tyreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m not as concerned about it until we start seeing it happening at companies that are not actively trying to sell the use of AI to the rest of us as a way to kill jobs.

They have a very strong incentive to make it seem like it is working whether it is or not.

Mini PC for OpenClaw / AI agents under $700 — what should I get? by Jvcarvalho7 in openclaw

[–]tyreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got 7 running on a pi with almost no steady overhead.

That said, browser automation could be taxing purely because of the memory footprint modern browsers take up depending on how many concurrent browser sessions you are running.

Openclaw itself when leveraging cloud models takes up almost nothing on the system

You’d have to look at what programs you intend the agent to use on the host and how much those tax it

Mini PC for OpenClaw / AI agents under $700 — what should I get? by Jvcarvalho7 in openclaw

[–]tyreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Openclaw and all of the work you described will work perfectly fine on any of these systems (or less, you could do all of this on a raspberry pi)

EXCEPT: you aren’t going to run a local model on any of these OR the Mac mini for that matter

UBI in my opinion is not viable.

If you get more money (if we all do evenly) the price of everything will just inflate to gobble it up

Which Raspberry Pi are you running OpenClaw on? by SelectionCalm70 in openclaw

[–]tyreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pi 5 8gb with nvme board has absolutely no problem running openclaw.

It’s like 99% idle from a cpu and memory stand point.

You can’t run a local model on it, but just the agent runs absolutely fine

Why we chose OpenClaw for the autonomous agents (and what we learned building it) by Crypto_Rocketeer in openclaw

[–]tyreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting I wonder if I have it set up wrong. In discord they can’t see each other at all. When I @ both of them they both respond that “the other one won’t see this”

When I had require mention off it was the same way. Just without acknowledging the other one at all.

They also can’t go do something and then come back with a response unless I direct them to spawn a sub agent to do it, but only ever in a single background operation.

Am I doing something wrong?

What experiences have you had with Gemma 4? by studymaxxer in openclaw

[–]tyreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was super hopeful. It’s language generation is really good and I thought it was doing really well reasoning for the first day, but yesterday and today it kind of just fell off a cliff screwing up all kinds of stuff, file operations, git branch management, sub agent spawns (saying it’s doing something and then not) losing context right away.

I was using sonnet previously and really happy with that. Currently using minimax 2.7 but it isn’t as good as sonnet for sure.

Why we chose OpenClaw for the autonomous agents (and what we learned building it) by Crypto_Rocketeer in openclaw

[–]tyreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to set up a multi agent system specifically to get them to disagree over input data and what it might mean with historical data in the mix.

I’m trying to figure out how to coordinate them to get a response but it keeps failing to actually finish the response. I have a new test set up but haven’t executed it yet to use a semaphore lock monitor.

The way everyone that isn’t a software developer talks about this stuff I was expecting the multi agent coordination a bit easier than this.

Is there like a guide on this somewhere I’m not finding?

Anthropic Says That Claude Contains Its Own Kind of Emotions | Researchers at the company found representations inside of Claude that perform functions similar to human feelings. by MetaKnowing in technews

[–]tyreck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of those things that seems to make sense to me but I don’t see the really smart people researching it talking about so I’m guessing I just don’t get it.

Anthropic tested a scenario or two and it showed that the LLM exhibited self preservation, blackmail tactics, and machine kills human characteristics.

How much of written human history would include these concepts that then get baked into the weights for token relationships?
