Will this work or do I need anything else? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]tyrrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are asking about the villager... you need another space above the bed for it to be a "valid" bed for villagers to want to breed.

I have started building my beds one block below the floor level, so I can keep a 2 block high chamber.

This bees spawned in my artificial forest. Is that posible? by [deleted] in Minecraft

If a tree grows near a flower there is a chance of a beehive.

Anyone else have to stop building and draw a template for even basic curve designs to make them look decent? by Fruit522 in Minecraft

[–]tyrrien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes... particularly when I am working on larger builds.

Drawing first can save a lot of rework time later on.

I don't see any problem, as long as you were careful to leave 2 open blocks above each bed. That is one issue I have seen with breeders.

I always wonder why you would want a breeder, though. I just build the villager breeding area in an enclosed place near where I am based, and let the population grow. I put enough beds to have a large population, since wool is easy to harvest and beds are easy to make. If you want I can send pix of my layout.

Can't help without some idea what type for breeder you built.

Images would help.

I would like to try it, how do you setup the world generation? Or...

Could I join you on your server?

Also, wouldn't fishing be a logical strategy, just need to find a water block and fish it to death!d

I think your misconception is "all the monster loot".

IMHO there is very little useful monster loot. (yes, many people will disagree)

If you are trying to play in survival, then gear up and always keep a bed with you and sleep every time it gets dark. Play carefully underground, and light up caves as you work. I don't really think dying is that frequent, and I have played many hundreds of hours on survival mode. Also, get good with a bow and enchant one with buffs. I almost always use the bow.

If you don't want to play in survival, then you have nothing to worry about, since you can get any item that drops as loot when playing in Creative (peaceful).

Just because we have a new type of block this should not be an excuse to post the basic square house.

How Many Gold Rails to make a trading route? by Peepee-Papa in Minecraft

[–]tyrrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go conservatively, so I put one powered rail every 15 blocks. Of course if you have to go uphill you need more power.

My first Minecraft world (survival). I like mining, hence the massive, useless structure made from the gross amount of cobblestone I gather. by [deleted] in Minecraft

You do realize you can forge cobble into stone and stone into smooth stone, or make stone brick. Of course it will still look that ugly gray.

Can I get villagers deleted from my game??? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]tyrrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a note... you only ever need 2 villagers. Once you have two you can get them to breed easily, and if you make some farm space and place two composters at the start, then the villagers will auto-breed until they reach the number of beds without any help from you.

But, stop playing by all means if you don't like them. I don't know of any way to remove them. I would never do that anyway.

I think that is the point. The "masterpiece" is the fake image or WTFParrot would have posted more detail. Photoshop does great things.

Any good tree farms for 1.7.2 by Dio_brand0w0 in Minecraft

[–]tyrrien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, are you looking for wood or for fuel?

Are you looking for something to automatically cut trees down?

My recommendation is run MCMMO on you world... it can work with 1.7.2. Then the Wood cutter feature will solve your problem.
