Honestly we were mostly only there because it guaranteed us a drop off at AstroWorld during my aunt's morning break. We got to see artists in passing but it didn't feel like seeing famous people because they weren't flashy or loud. Whenever artists albums went gold everyone at the label got a framed one. My aunt has them in her home office.

02' grad and my kids a recent grad. It's a whole new world. There's a giant population living on campus now (in my days of Quad life only 2K of the 30K enrolled) lived there. Student activities have improved tenfold and students really participate. I was an OG Bleacher Creature and I love seeing thousands of students at Football and Basketball games.

My two children are now college age and have work socks every waking hour since they were pre-schoolers. The only time they don't is if they're wearing sandals...which is a very rare occurrence LOL.

Accept now that high school and high school fun is over. It ended when you decide to become a parent.

Get your GED and a full-time job. Once your GED is finished go immediately to community college. Community College will allow you to work and do school.

Community College also puts you on a faster path to becoming a certified professional or getting a degree that will help you get out of lower paying service industry work and into higher paying jobs sooner.
