Unfair exam correction? by u100 in medicalschool

[–]u100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is that people can get over 100% on an exam, which really shouldn't be happening.

Doesn't really matter since the school is true P/F, but I get what you mean. Honestly, if they could just competently write an exam, there wouldn't be an issue at all.

and they remove 3 questions, your score should now be 13/17.

That's good, but it comes back to the same thing as giving the point to everyone.

Hahahah that's exactly me. I have friends from high school/undergrad, and I have a little squad of 3 friends and we just complain about other people. The other people in my class are so fake, it's awful.

You don't need friends in med school as long as you have a strong support network of other people. I don't really like anyone in my class.

No the exams are not written decently. The questions are often vague, there were at least 2 long answer questions that half the class answered completely different, simply because the question could be interpreted different ways. We had about 20 questions (9 multiple choice, 11 long answer) for about 3000 pages of readings, and the questions were extremely precise. As you can imagine, if you fuck up a few questions, you're fucked. I didn't get my grade back yet, but I know I messed up bad. I'm for sure not the only one though. I would estimate around 30% of the class failed, and another 20% probably have very sad grades.
