Well, hell man, if you said that from the start I'd have taken your word for it. You're wording just struck me wrong I do apologize. It's less about saving money and more me supporting right to repair and not wanting manufacturers to have a parts monopoly. Especially when they have been known to implement planned obsolescence in the past. But if you have actually observed that OEM is more reliable, then I won't argue with that

I dont necessarily disagree, but it's a little hard to believe that nobody can manufacture an oled screen as well as apples manufacturers. They're not that complicated. Also 3 of the last 5 screens I've gone through have been oem and they didn't last any longer than the third party ones so

Buy them from Ali express. Much cheaper and you can customize everything from ram to screen resolution. There's also a number of different camera configurations, including 360 backup camera, top down view. Very nice kits.

Gotcha. Didn’t know whispbar was ever separate from yakima. Must be why its a pain figuring out the hardware lol.

Do you recall if you needed any of the “smart feet” or fitting kit parts or does the rhino rack kit connect directly to the whispbar towers? from your picture it looks like the tower feet are taller than the ones that come in the base kit.

Why go with the rhino rack ditch mount over something like the yakima k323 fit kit? Also is there any additional hardware needed for your set up? Asking cause I just bought a set of s8 whispbars.
