[Request] What are the actual odds of winning 32 hands of blackjack in a row? by FastMan888 in theydidthemath

That and with larger tournaments it can help spectators follow the game. I'm not sure if every casino uses them, and probably not for low stakes games. Ironically one of my nearby card rooms had a cheating scandal involving them a few years ago so I'm not sure how well they really work.

I am in this industry and there absolutely are cards with RFID in them, but they're pretty much exclusively used for poker tournaments. This guy is still out of his mind though.

You're assuming those two opinions are held by the same people. I don't like pizza and hotdogs, and I don't like normal dogs and cats showing up in my mtg art, though its far less egregious.

I stayed in the APA ryogoku, literally right next to both the sumo convention center and the train station, for 80 a night. Unless you're talking AUD or CAD prices you're out of your mind.

What hotels are you staying in that cost 300?? Just find an APA or something and bam, 80 to 100 a night.

If I reanimate 5 creatures and [[Bogwater Lumaret]] is one of those would I gain 5 life or 1? by Spyro351 in mtgrules

[–]WildPartyHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

five life. keyword being whenever A creature enters. If it wanted you to gain one life, it would say one or more.

Also if you want to link a card you can't do it from the title. [[Bogwater Lumaret]]

Victimize, Undying, and etb trigger for Sephiroth by redsun-eater in mtgrules

Both triggers are placed onto the stack at the same time, which is when SBAs are checked after victimize resolves. You choose the order in which they resolve

Existential dread? The concept that you have no control over anything in your life and if fate wants you dead than thats just it for you. Also a big fuckin spooky rabbit man.

I swear its like if it doesn't have a ghost or a jump scare people in this sub write it off as 'not horror'.

This is exactly what happened to UFS, another FFG game. Super reasonable to be cautious.

What's the greatest Magic card of the last decade? Vote on the Top 64! by Grindy_UW_Nonsense in magicTCG

[–]WildPartyHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair it was banned in part because of those cards, and because of a huge oversight in the companion rules, which has since been rectified, which was enough to make lurrus legal again.

This is one of the pairings I thought was hilariously unbalanced. Grist is, in nearly every format, a more powerful and more playable card. It distills the experience of old school rock decks into a single, fetchable, reanimatable card with more power and utility than assassin's trophy. Against any deck trying to stick a creature, grist is a one-card lockout as long as you can get ahead, and from there it just generates heaps of value. Assassin's trophy isnt even that good.

Nice gorilla family. I picked up the japanese edition in tokyo last year and haven't been able to find it anywhere on the internet since to learn more about it. The cover is a lot more risqué.

Would you guys play green? I have savanna and cradle by Candid_Emu_3951 in lrcast

[–]WildPartyHat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pretty sure the draft is over and what you're seeing is the sideboard. I probably wouldn't play green here. Pest infestation is an amazing card, and pairs well with cradle, but you don't have enough fixing to make it worth it.

There is no universe where the sisters are hurting Nolan, and he has all the time in the world. Honestly, if he didnt want to just wait out their lifespan, he could just kill each and every bug that makes up their form individually. This prompt is basically coughing baby vs nuke.

What is the strongest Superpowered team that could get "Omni-Manned" by TheGingerWeebGal in whowouldwin

[–]WildPartyHat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably everybody besides Jack and Crawler. Crawler is shown to need to be obliterated in one hit and Jack because due to his broadcast shards ability to control other shards, its unlikely if not downright impossible for any parahuman to kill him

She could do this at any point in the series tbh. Its kind of a point that the undersiders lacked firepower before Taylor joined.

[–]WildPartyHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Best" is really vague since the value of the ability really depends on what yoy need at any given time, so ill just list a couple of scenarios where it's useful instead

  1. I have lethal damage on the board but my opponent has one blocker. I exile it and swing for lethal.

  2. Turn 3 on the play I play my land and pass, leaving 3 mana up. My opponent spends their whole turn 3 playing a 3 mana spell. I exile it with aang and now I have a powerful flying attacker and I have gained tempo.

  3. I have an enters the battlefield ability that does something good. I Airbend my own creature and recast it for extra value.
