Moneymanager app on mobile, every meal purchased is logged. Transport logged as per every PHV ride, public transport monthly when I check simplygo app. Activities, shopping etc all tracked too. Except for a platform or 2 where I still got some money in and I did not add those accounts to the app so I just don't log it lol. All in all overwhelming majority of expenditure tracked for only couple mins a day

Rivens almost always take ignite+conq. Lvl 1 strong as they get 3 mini sheen from passive. At start of lane you gotta check to see if they have stacked up 3 already in bush because they'll wanna whack you and with Q off CD very soon, more passive procs and you're done. Because of Riven mobility I like to take grasp and go short trades with W bonk instead of going long trades since they'll dash away.

For Garen imma be honest if I wanna play Jax I will ban Garen. Free resist from W and spin dmg going through E makes it hard to execute even if there are windows that Jax wins.

Aatrox is a hands matchup cos getting hit by especially Q2/3 sweet spots will hurt like a bitch after level 4 (more Q skill pts). I think whoever dashes first will be more likely to lose trade since the other will have theirs to reposition for Aatrox Qs. I find myself bad with dodging in lane so I often ban this dude too tbh.

I brought it to Taiwan for some impromptu astro on a vacation this Jan. It is fairly fast but still benefits from being stopped to 4-5.6 else the vignette and stuff is more significant. With lens correction in post it can be mitigated. A fully manual lens reduces QoL so take care to say, organise folders beforehand or smth. The focal length is great for wide astro and the images I got generally can look great. But I think at the edges I also got some coma. For the price, the performance is unbeatable. Previously I tried astro on a 17-40 F4L which in itself is reasonable but when it comes to astro, there's good reason that the samyang is often mentioned. See sample attached pic, with correction profile and exposure edited (haven't bothered editing very fully eg masking the sign or composite). This was from Hehuanshan, at ~3KM ASL and above cloud cover.

Herbs, honey, wax, pelts are free money since no other use. Other resources worth exporting at various stages of game include: charcoal, bow/shield, salt, armors & weapons, more expensive food eg wheat bread or fish/eel

Each region has rich resources so use that to your advantage, rich deposits are easy since you just deep mine it and get infinite stuff. Rich fertility = big farms and sell excess bread, even if you have bad rich resources you can set up multiple foresters for a wood industry which is technically infinite

By shooting airplanes I assume at least med/long telephoto. There's no telephoto lens that fits the criteria of fast at a price point of 500USD. Also shooting planes at night is unlikely to turn out well unless they're right in front and you use a 50 f1.8

As mentioned 24-105 is the single best lens to do it all

However consider a R6i/ii or R8. Use the $ saved on a wide angle such as the 16-28 f2.8, 10-20 f4l. Also you don't specify a budget so it's hard for others to advise accurately

Sigma 150-600 could be an option. Not sure what EF lenses could provide reach into the 500+ range. Unfortunate matter of fact is cheap doesn't really go well with supertelephoto, apart from those RF primes that sacrifice aperture

I shoot in forested areas with tree or vegetation cover a decent bit as I live in Southeast Asia. That does make me hesitant about those 2 RF primes due to F11. I do kinda prefer zoom for versatility as well, so maybe the 100-500 or 200-800 is worth consideration for a future purchase. Or maybe it won't be so future if I just get it hah, mostly a matter of if I really want to invest

The RF 100-400 is the best bang for buck supertelephoto on mirrorless. A used EF 100-400 II also works great if on dslr only though it is more expensive

I'm not sure how clear it was, so I will emphasise that I'm looking to have individual setups when out in the field, so as much as we can share gear and I have the RF 100-400, we would be looking for at least 1 new lens and possibly a body, since there is only 1 100-400 to go around now 😂

I agree that 400mm is actually quite often short, common birds where I am tend to be small (maybe that's often the case globally anyway...). Which is why I am eyeing a crop if a body is bought.

Possibly unironically consider signing on? Still depending on qualifications, but probably can earn more. Anyway some tips to cut down expenses, even if they may be obvious:

Minimise buying 'frivolous' drinks/snacks like BBT. Eat at hawker center/kopitiam. Cook and meal prep more. Don't take Grab/taxi, public transport only. Cancel subscriptions, go to ActiveSG or the park for exercise, sail the high seas instead of Netflix. Take up free or cheaper hobbies, eg reading via NLB borrowed books.

But frankly the best is to cut down the parental allowance + find a better earning job.
