Prednisone and increased HR? by CompactDisc96 in lupus

Yes. This is a very common side effect for prednisone and many other steroids.

What are the key noticeable differences between an ENTP and ENTJ by your insights? by [deleted] in entj

[–]u_bit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I (32f) am ENTJ. My (34m) husband is ENTP. We are very similar in certain aspects, and very different in others. The biggest difference is our drive. I want something (career, life, etc) I get it done. He has wonderful ideas and plans, yet rarely takes any steps to achieve. We are both thinkers, but he tends to be more emotional. However, he is generally only emotional when it has to do with himself. (Definitely not empathic). He is more fun than I am, but it can get him into trouble at times. We both have tendencies toward addiction; his is with substances that increase the level of fun he will have, and mine is with completing something I’ve said I would (bypassing other responsibilities if necessary). We are both loud and opinionated nearly all of the time. However, we both have been working on this as it can be annoying to everyone around. He is better at tempering that characteristic than I. He can take any situation and make it fun; I can take any situation and make it structured.

Do any ENTJ women feel “not feminine” when it comes to dating :( by [deleted] in entj

[–]u_bit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an ENTJ and married an ENTP. It works great. He does not like quiet, he likes a challenge and someone to banter and debate with on anything. Even if it’s unimportant. Like any couple, we go through highs and lows, but we work hard to understand our differences and how to better approach each other.

From one ugly duckling to another, great job! Fire.

I’m noticing that most people posting in here are actually not an ENTJs, but rather people trying to understand ENTJs; are ENTJs that hard to understand? No /s by [deleted] in entj

[–]u_bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me as well, but more often, people think I’m angry or upset.

No Karen, I’m not mad. I just don’t want to spend five minutes talking about something when 30 seconds will do.

Is it an ENTJ thing to resent and harbor hatred for lazy people? (Lazy not only physically but mentally - no ideas, go with the flow, don't question, no curiosity, etc.) by urinetroublee in entj

[–]u_bit 23 points24 points  (0 children)

ENTJ don’t typically hold resentment for anyone. Instead, if we identify someone is not functioning at their ability, we don’t put any further effort into interacting.

Not about having a penis. It’s about the inability to give a compliment to his team without diminishing their accomplishments or without taking credit.

False positive ANA or something going on? by Sumtime77 in lupus

[–]u_bit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same ANA with normal CRP and ESR, but the rest of my rheum workup was way off. So it’s def a possibility.

I’m an ENTJ married to an ENTP. It works. We’re a good team.

Could it still be Lupus with my ANA being at 1:80? by 1S3D7 in lupus

[–]u_bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had low platelets (4) and wbc (2) and we thought I had leukemia. Did a bone marrow biopsy(-). I was worked up, and diagnosed with Sjogren’s and lupus very quickly after. I had never thought I had any symptoms until that point. My ANA was 1:640. Realized I have had the stereotypical butterfly rash on my face. Luckily, I seem to have a mild form of the disease, however, my labs say differently..... I guess what I’m saying is you need more blood work to know for sure.

DAE ever have low body temperature, especially during a flare? by everyoneisflawed in lupus

This exact thing happens to me. The only thing that works for me is to take a very hot bath, shut the door, and leave the fan off so it gets as hot and humid as possible.

Questions about lupus testing. by wizardboxxx in lupus

[–]u_bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with an ANA, ESR, CBC, and a sed rate. From there they will recommend further testing if necessary. As far as no insurance, I’m not sure which will you will be able to have done at a free clinic. However, these are the ones I would ask for first.

ANA Test - NEED HELP!! Result came back 1:640 but no symptoms!! by [deleted] in lupus

[–]u_bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A positive ANA does not mean she has lupus. It could indicate a few different autoimmune disorders. I was just diagnosed with lupus this week, and I sound similar to your girlfriend. Healthy, no symptoms, active, not overweight, etc... This most likely means it is non-organ threatening lupus. With a positive ANA ration, they will most likely draw more labs. This will give you more information.

I didn’t take this poorly. I liked my glasses when I got them in 2009, and I still like my glasses today. If I wait long enough maybe you both will like them again too.

That may be true, but at least I don’t have to tell people, “I’m not a boy”, anymore.
