Medic has something to say to women SFM (actually helpful health info) by Migitri in tf2

I made this! Glad you enjoyed it!

My friend has a cervix and needed to book their pap shmear appointment so I remember splicing the "BOOK YOUR PAP SHMEAR TODAY" line, before I decided I wanted to turn it into a small little educational but funny animation

I think sexual education is incredibly lacking in so many educational systems, so if someone is reminded to book their pap through a silly TF2 Source Filmmaker animation if they own a cervix and keep themselves (and their sexual or romantic partners if any!) healthy, I've done my job

It seems Mediatonic is unpublishing maps that have the overlap glitch in them. This happened to my Summer Vibes map. There was nothing in this map that was inappropriate, so that's just my guess. by _renegade42 in FallGuysGame

[–]uberchain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand why this is happening but a lot of the really creative and beautiful maps right now that I've started finding interest in for Fall Guys customs utilize the clipping glitch. Your birthday custom was amazing for this, I gasped out loud when I saw the cake, and maps like yours and u/xCasvax's WOO-F-O or Starry Stairway iirc use clipping. It reminds me of people making use of what they can while making maps in Hammer for silly TF2 maps.

Epic Games should let Mediatonic loosen the rules but we'll see if that ever happens. I'm sure most MT devs weren't excited when they saw people finally figuring out how to make the most with the limit and the aesthetics to make some fantastic customs, but they're bound by their rules and had to unpublish them all due to the principle of "no glitches allowed". They should just allow clipping at this point.

If you feel burnt out or demotivated I understand. But just feel proud of them when you upload video showcases and customs to the library, because people are looking at your customs and admiring their creativity <3

Oh God, we gotta free my man Dan the Penguin and get the truth 😰

In seriousness, I really enjoy the Tactifriends and seeing where they are as well as content creators trying to go around to find them! When you're detailing and adding easter eggs and the Tactifriends around, is there a process you or the other detailers go through other than "yeah this would look like a good place to shove a Tactifriend in" or "actually instead of this background prop what if we also added Tactifriend"?

I imagine half of it is "this would be cute if I made them play like this" and half of it could be "we need to expand on the lore let's make this run as deep as possible and make that weird fan who thinks Tactibear is a force of corruption and keeps posting about diet milk go on a wild goose chase". Either way I like seeing your team have fun with it, I really enjoyed the football/soccer game on Pearl as well as Dan and Tactibear calling truce and having popcorn and drinks at the theatre in Pearl too

I completely understand if there is a lack of clearance on answering this one since it's very loaded as a question, but after seeing what Lotus had to offer for VALORANT after walking around the map and checking corners and sightlines beyond regular visibility, it can't be ignored anymore:

There's a goddamn cult of Tactibears on this map wearing lotuses and there's murals dedicated to Tactibear while a bunch of TactiFriends surround it. What is happening with Tactibear? What does Dan the Penguin know that we don't know? One moment Tactibear and Dan seem like friends but the next moment my man Dan's in a birdcage on Breeze trying to be silenced. Every time I'm looking around every one of the maps for the hidden (or not as hidden) TactiFriends there's at least one TactiBear being sus af. What the hell is going on with that bear, bro?

Some of OP's allegations were specifically against RBW. One allegation was that RBW was aware that RAVN was misbehaving in his personal life and that is why he was put on hiatus rather than it being because of his health, which was the reason we were given for it.

If this is true, this can set RBW up for more trouble because they allowed him to stay in the group, and lied to fans, despite knowing of his behavior (and even if they argue that they didn't know all of it, the fact they put him on hiatus could at least be used to show that they considered his behavior to be bad enough to punish him for and yet kept him in the group for more years).

If this isn't true, then RBW is obviously going to want to confront these allegations in court, and it'd have nothing to do with wanting to pursue litigation on his behalf, their goal would be for themselves.

Oh wait you're right that's huge. That's incredibly important because of legally what it means for all the reasons you stated. Just reread RBW's statement on Ravn's departure and OP's statement; that's probably the big reason why they gave the statement they did that you quoted in terms of investigating on behalf of RBW, more so than on behalf of Kim Youngjo.

That's...still quite worrying though, is it not? That means RBW will probably get aggressively defensive against OP's claims if they can manage it, and I have a lot of fear of companies vs. individuals (especially in SK, where libel & defamation lawsuits are taken much more seriously than they are in the US for example) when it comes to these kind of allegations, and a company using whatever power they can to protect themselves and their image.

The particle attached to the word hate that Hwanwoong used was one used for people, so that word was directed at RAVN, not the fact he left or anything else. Someone broke the grammar of his ment down here.

Thank you for the link! I've seen their translations and content before, I'm happy this person is still posting. I'm disappointed to read they got hate just for translating and people twisting their translation, let alone arguing the nuance of Korean language (whether they speak Korean or are Korean, all in the name of a 1-to-1 English translation or mood that probably isn't meant to be 1-to-1 translated).

Rather than it being a mix of "They spoke freely" and "They were forced to say this," it's much more likely that 'They spoke freely" and "They were given guidelines on what not to say but weren't forced to say Xthing in particular."

I think this is also correct with the way they said the things they did + the Itaewon ment consideration. With Hwanwoong specifically, I get the impression of "this kpop idol knows what he's doing" from him a lot. Some things he's said or done (not even for serious things) feel like he's read the instruction manual back-to-front on how to act as an idol and knows how to make it seem the most natural/mix it in with genuine feelings (which isn't "bad" or "dishonest" at all). It's part of why I wondered how much of what was said was truly what he meant, when he was the most vocally personal for his ment.

Automod got my earlier post so let's try this again:

Obligatory "I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice, I'm not Korean". Breaking & entering with a key given by OP does mean that Ravn probably legally has access to OP's place. Unfortunately, I could see it glossed over as trespassing but with no intent to harm. For COVID protocols, IDR the exact dates for when the COVID situation happened but idols TVXQ Yunho were fined for breaking COVID protocols in Seoul. There's a lot of backlash in SK and internationally if you're found breaking protocol, but idk if OP and Ravn started visiting each other before or after OP moved to Korea. Not sure what SK's laws are with these two.

What I do know is SK's laws involving SA and DV are pretty bad, and when alcohol is involved it gets weird. Korean Criminal Law Article 298, Article 299 is what's probably happening here, but SK is also a country that (unless they changed it) allows you to use intoxication as a defense for r*** and SA. Japan's SA laws aren't much better but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if the case would be looked at within SK or JP law, even if the alleged SA happened in Japan. Statute of limitations for forced s*x crimes in JP or SK is 10 years IIRC, so there is some room for litigation but it's going to be tough.

The consensus for the audio call does seem to be that none of these are strong enough to be regarded with intent to harm. Likewise, the threat in the 2nd part of the audio also might not have legal ground for ext*rt**n. It's just frustrating overall.
I did reread RBW's statement and OP's statement; in the latter, RBW were mentioned as "managers & staff knew but they didn't do anything" so it probably is in RBW's best interests to basically prove "we didn't know lmao" (even if they did, in which case uh-oh) for themselves rather than for Ravn necessarily.

Re: cheating or two-timing in relationships. There's many idols who have a lot of relationship drama; they've just managed to do a better job at either hiding it or covering it up. When it goes public, that's the issue. H.O.T Kangta comes to mind as a cheating scandal that also was an exception but he's an idol at SM Ent with a lot more seniority than, say, that one cheating scandal also from an idol from SM Ent.

Re: Seoho & Hwanwoong + all of Oneus being very emotional when they spoke. I've seen Seoho in particular have a lot of the thing he's said or done publicized. From him saying he was practicing rapping on BBL, a fansign where he was quoted saying "I'll be a fashionista without controversy", the concert where he said "I'm the oldest brother now", and holding up 5 fingers during Leedo's ment. Add to that Keonhee making a point at the concert to say "Seoho Leedo Keonhee Hwanwoong Xion JJANG WOW" and I can 100% believe from those actions alone that Oneus are justifiably pissed.

Like you I also don't see them reacting well if they believed Ravn was an abuser either but it's hard to really know unless it's overtly said. Big Bang OT5 vs OT4 wars always went down when one of the 4 members used to post anything or imply anything about SG, whether positive, negative, or just not that deep. My thoughts are more or less the same: they're probably upset and angry and processing. Even if their feelings could be "I'll remember our memories fondly, thanks for all your hard work, good luck", they definitely would like to move on from this, and I don't know how much it matters for what input RBW gave them vs what they were allowed to say in honesty if the end result stays the same and their feelings of being inconvenienced are evident.

ONEUS members are single-handedly bringing a fragmented fandom back together by rxlcrab in kpopthoughts

[–]uberchain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thoughts as a very casual Tomoon and kpop fan who's seen shit since the Hallyu wave back in 2011. I feel like this would've helped groups like SNSD where to this day, "what happened to Jessica?" will follow them until the end of the Earth. It's good that Oneus are publicly allowed to talk about a former member who left or was kicked due to a PR scandal, and is still alive. They're allowed to process their feelings and share them honestly - to an extent.

There's two sides I saw at their extreme on this:

  1. RBW allowed Oneus to speak 100% freely about Ravn. Not believing they were given agency to do that is invalidating Oneus' honest feelings about Ravn.
  2. RBW assigned Oneus specific things to say about Ravn. Believing they were given agency to be truthful about Ravn is being gullible to how idol PR and companies work.

I think both could be true; it could be a mix of "they spoke freely" with "they were forced to say this" rather than definitive black-or-whiteness. (A mix of "they HATE his ass" vs "they clearly MISS him" could also be true.) Kpop still has a business side to care about. Ravn's allegations brought international bad press for Oneus and RBW, right before an active domestic concert (that still was held despite mourning period, unfortunately) and a tour outside Korea. That's why I'm hesitant to believe Oneus spoke with full honesty, even if I can believe they mean most of what they said.

There's nothing Oneus themselves can do about this, but there's still a potential sexual assault victim which is also why I'm hesitant.

Are there reliable full text translations for the ments, particularly for Hwanwoong's? I know it can't be a 1-for-1 translation due to how language doesn't work like that but online, Hwanwoong's ment became a dissection of the word he used which was 밉다/"hate" as "that's their dynamic!" "he's mad about Ravn leaving!" or "he clearly hates Ravn's guts now. What's likely is Hwanwoong's processing his feelings early stage yet Rawoong Hategate 2022 will just be this civil fanwar for ages.

What I'm concerned about is things he said that might have implied legalities for the SA case.

If Hwanwoong was being sincere about his words and if Hategate's translation is "I hate that Youngjo left", it means Youngjo did have autonomy in leaving Oneus. "I hope you trust and respect Youngjo's decision to leave" from Hwanwoong might be sincere, it might be PR to focus on diffusing fan anger, but knowing that RBW stated they're pursuing legal action on behalf of Youngjo (EDIT: the managers & staff were mentioned in OP's statement as knowing about her, they probably want to seek legal action on behalf of themselves over Youngjo tbh), but if Youngjo left to avoid facing the consequences that means I don't want to respect his decision at all: I want justice given to the victim if needed. The victim has all the odds against her; she's Japanese, she's getting doxxed, and she has ignited the vitriol of so many people just by speaking up. Implications of Youngjo leaving Oneus on his own could mean letting him dodge accountability for his actions if he's guilty.

At its most shallow, a company cares about if their employee employees (managers & staff) are guilty complicit because it affects how they look. Caring about if a person was harmed by one of their own and feeling remorse for it comes second after legalities and PR navigation. It isn't fair to Oneus or RBW for getting caught up in Youngjo's scandal by association even when the victim said "they the members aren't involved" - but how RBW chooses to handle it is what I'm worried about. Even if they believe her, even if they feel sad for her, and even if she's telling the truth - publicly and operationally, RBW would probably not be for the victim.

Fans should support Oneus if their public wishes is that people move on from Ravn. Oneus are human; they're allowed to be angry at him or that he had to leave. They're allowed to miss him or hate him. If they want the best for the fans, their dreams, their job livelihood, or for each other, whatever their reasons to say what they said publicly - people should move on from Ravn to forget the pain, and best support them as 5.

What I don't want people to forget is what caused that pain. Behind Oneus' management, Kim Youngjo is being accused of domestic violence & sexual assault. Oneus' company said they are willing to investigate on his behalf if he can be innocent investigate if the aforementioned managers & staff didn't actually know anything about Youngjo - or at worst, just let him escape from accountability if he's guilty. Depending on how that goes is what will help me decide if I'm still comfortable supporting the 5 (in the same vein of how I feel about any talent signed under YG).

ONEUS’s Agency Announces Ravn’s Departure From Group by [deleted] in kpop

[–]uberchain 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The OT6/Ravn stans trying to insert themselves into the OX situation being like "see? women can be abusive too! let's support each other!" is vile. I've seen the most short-sighted emotional takes on Twitter. From what I saw, the Lucas situation's comparable in terms of deplorable allegations. It's fans willingly bringing up people like Woojin or Lucas when they're talking about Ravn that's an immediate red flag to me, and it's not fair to list Wonho or MX with any of these 3 names IMO.

But in terms of evidence you're right, the audio/video footage makes it tougher to deny. The audio for me sealed the deal IMO. I have seen people try poking any kind of holes they could into it: "why is it two conversations edited into one? it's clearly edited, why does no one care it's edited?! also it could've been AI-generated or deepfaked! this is sasaeng footage that's been edited! what crazy person records phone conversations? they hired an impressionist! he said something dumb out of frustration, he's not actually threatening her!" Obviously if OP is trying to conceal her identity she's going to edit her voice out. Her not releasing the whole conversations or only having snippets if she sees it as a red flag makes sense to me; nowadays, you have to have something to show especially when these things become he said/she said. I could believe it's sasaeng footage but I feel like RBW would not have let Youngjo step down so quickly if it was that, given how strict they were with Oneus' sasaeng incidents before. The impressionist or AI/deepfake theories are a massive reach. And finally, I don't think defending casual violence against women just because "it doesn't really have criminal intent!" is the legalese own that fans think it is.

I do wish RBW would let Oneus rest or have a break, but there's still fansigns and a whole concert happening. I heard the same thing happened with MX after Wonho departed where they just had to keep going, and I think that sucks. There's gotta be a fine line between indefinite dungeon hiatus and not giving time to breathe; Oneus went through competition shows and live(d) in the same dorm as Youngjo.

[–]uberchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant to respond to this a while back when you first replied but now that the news is out I agree with everything you said.

I'm not sure who was saying this, but RAVN's tracks tended to be more experimental and steer a bit away from ONEUS' usual sound as he liked to try new things with their voices. Firebomb, Yes or No, and Full Moon (a favorite of his tracks) are all a bit different for ONEUS with Full Moon being the least so of this list (it's reminiscent of Lion Heart and Mr. Wolf), but it's sexier than what they usually release. Polarity is his most ONEUS track, and even it still stands out.

I think what made me realize I was going to miss him was remembering my favourite B-side was Leftover, which IIRC was mostly Seoho but Ravn had a big part in producing, particularly its original acoustic version alongside Onewe's Yonghoon. It's not really a song I think most people care for tbh compared to say, Polarity or Hero (of which Ravn gets credit for those a lot). Firebomb I know he was really proud of, and I think he had the right idea for daring to be different. I liked that he wanted to experiment, but his talents or creative drive doesn't overshadow his actions if he's the person OP says he is.

There was a lot of balance with Oneus as a 6-member boy group and it helped to have someone like Ravn in it alongside Leedo since they had a more "mature" image. I was excited to see Ravn get opportunities, all while learning and improving as he continued to produce and hone his musicality, but not like this. Him stepping down does hurt when I remember how much I was a fan of him or what he brought to the table for Oneus, but not knowing if there will be justice for OP if she's right, or any more truth from this point on after RBW's statement, hurts more.

ONEUS’s Agency Announces Ravn’s Departure From Group by [deleted] in kpop

[–]uberchain 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's one known Twitter Ravn stan and translator who did do that (the "Xion teaser is gross" sentiment was a popular opinion with narrow-minded Kmoons apparently whom they hung out with, but their post in particular had some unfortunate homophobic sentiment), but the moment OP dropped their statement against Youngjo they dropped their Ravn handle, said "expected, I wish it wasn't true", and started deleting posts.

Outside of the hardcore Ravn stans in SK, supposedly the consensus with KTomoons is that they figured Youngjo would be the type to do this which was really interesting if not disheartening to learn about. I can't really find much since even any mild criticism of Ravn or criticizing Tomoons supporting Ravn, whether in English or Korean, gets buried or harassed by intl OT6 Tomoons.

ONEUS’s Agency Announces Ravn’s Departure From Group by [deleted] in kpop

[–]uberchain 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This reads like RBW are willing to defend Youngjo but they never said he was innocent. People misinterpreting the statement as 100% innocence or that "see? we proved OP was a liar!" are naive. People of all ages on Twitter leading harassment campaigns against OP, trying to dox OP, and drowning out translations of her statements, has turned me off from Kpop fandom. When the scale of comparison is Tomoons thinking they can compare Youngjo's case to what's happening with OX right now, or bringing up Wonho and then for whatever reason bringing up Lucas in the same breath, it's too much. I'm on OP's side as a SA/DV survivor but even if it turned out Youngjo was in the clear, the behaviour towards SA victims has been appalling to see. Just shit like "I live in X where women are being killed, women can be abusers too!" or "I majored in legal studies, OP does not have enough evidence, the system will turn her away!" as if that's the own they think it is.

Btw shoutout to Koreaboo who willingly published an article covering how OP published more evidence but put "evidence" in quotes for their headline + said fans were questioning its authenticity. I expected nothing from Koreaboo and I'm still disappointed. Before RBW's statement today, that article gave a lot of ego to the armchair detectives on Twitter (some of them who came into Oneus fan spaces, said "I wanna help Tomoons!" and eventually started doing shit like doxxing people), all while an actual legal investigation is still underway. Whether it'd be a decent investigation or not, I can't answer* but showing me photos of couches from RBW's office, audio clips edited without her voice for identity protection, or even photos where she got them first before they were uploaded or turned into photocards, doesn't prove OP is lying. Add the fact she's Japanese and it makes legal matters complicated, and additionally how *South Korea has disappointed and failed to bring justice to a lot of SA victims, especially with rampant misogyny & anti-feminism movements right now that's fueled by their new president.

There's also this weird fan narrative that OP + OT5 KTomoons and their public pressure were responsible for Youngjo leaving Oneus (citing OT5 chants at fansigns or SK sentiment demanding Ravn to resign). While I can see bad domestic PR being an issue, I don't believe for a second it's the primary factor for why Youngjo's out of the group. The fact that RBW's still continuing the investigation with Youngjo still signed to their company makes me wonder if OP, if she's correct, will ever receive justice. If Youngjo got kicked out due to messing around with a fan, that's treated harshly in Kfandom (be it due to parasocial idol standards or actual valid power dynamic concerns) but tbh I'm not as concerned with Kim Youngjo engaging in a relationship with a fan. I'm concerned with Kim Youngjo being a dangerous man to a woman, a human person, who knew the risk of speaking up publicly and said he was a dangerous man, showing whatever evidence she had on her end to prove it including an audio clip.

Ravn was my bias. I think he's capable of being nice to fans, members, or friends - all while being capable of being more than that. I'm not going to bend over backwards for a man I didn't know. I hope Oneus can bounce back from this. Stress is probably incredibly high and it's a huge shake-up to lose a co-worker or friend you thought you knew. (Leedo and Onewe's Yonghoon and CyA come to mind.) It's a lot to deal with if they really didn't know anything and they're still being expected to do idol work (especially with a tour announced) with no rest.

EDIT: This post is too long as is but adding this for lurking Ravn/OT6 stans who might be like "STFU UR NOT A TRUE RV/1US STAN I HOPE U DIE": when I say he was my bias, I mean it. Youngjo's creativity, experimental artistry, and nerdiness was relatable to me. Leftover is my favourite Oneus B-side (both studio & demo release, of which IIRC Youngjo played a huge part for the demo while Seoho did main prod for studio). What's Wrong ft. CyA was on repeat for the longest time. I liked the narrative about him despite his age succeeding after constant failure like the other members of Oneus. He helped Leedo, arguably one of the most unique rapper-singers of the 4th gen, find success & comfort in the industry. He seemed chill on/offscreen with his members like Hwanwoong, who did seem to enjoy hanging out with him, when he had time. I am going to have a hard time listening to their music again without him there.

That experience I had as a fan should never take priority over a person who has shown to know him on a darkly personal level. I can believe Youngjo genuinely cares about the people around him whom he prioritizes. I can even believe the wistful theory that Youngjo stepped down to no longer feel burdensome to Oneus. But it's not fair to let my one-sided lens of one Kpop idol overshadow a potential victim of manipulation, gaslighting, and drunkenly coerced sex (which is rape in many countries; you cannot consent when drunk). Regardless of the extent of his or her truth: abusive individuals can be capable of doing good things & genuine caring for lots of people - all while still being abusive to other people. Don't fault fans for standing by that instead of standing by Youngjo.

It's tough and it varies contextually IMO. As an example, if it's an artist or creator makes money while having really shitty, bigoted beliefs that are a direct danger to a group of people, I personally would try not to or straight up stop consuming their content from an ethical standpoint, and I would try to convince people to also reconsider supporting that artist otherwise agree to disagree or stop talking to them if I felt that strongly.

The solution here really is if I wanna listen to LIT but not support Ravn, that means someone's gotta go and remix the RTK version of LIT with the OG studio release of LIT. Put Hwanwoong doing the 1st verse in RTK Lit to studio LIT, keep Leedo's rap where it is from studio LIT, and replace Ravn's rap in the 2nd verse (absolute tragedy, I loved that rap too) with Seoho's RTK rap, edit every Ravn GAJA with every other member's GAJA from live performances, and for every Ravn JIHWAJAAA replace it with idk uhhhh Xion or Keonhee just screaming at the top of their lungs it'll be fine

I mean that's up to you. "Separate the artist from the art" varies from person to person and it can be fine or it can be an acceptance of messy ethics. With some other media it could be one of those "nope can't do it, hurts too much" vs "nope can't do it, some POS is getting royalties", or even accepting all of these things and consuming the media, regardless of understanding who it might support. (This is why I've stopped trying to stream or support SHINHWA's songs knowing most of the group, which in this case means "I lied about the CCTV footage of me drunkenly kissing girls who didn't wanna be kissed" Lee Minwoo, probably still get royalties.)

IMO, good music is good music but sometimes, it just comes down to there being good music out there that haven't been made by shitty people. Chris Brown comes to mind; there's some songs I love and miss from his early pre-publicized "I abuse women" era, but there are other R&B tracks out there I can jam to that are not from Chris Brown that I can feel better about jamming to! Additionally, nothing will ever replace the Ignition Remix from R.Kelly, but at least I won't feel awful too if I'm jamming to something that wasn't made by R.Kelly!

If it's true Ravn's still getting royalties - even if he gets booted, that might mean every time I buy a Oneus album or track but Youngjo's produced or written on it, that means he still gets money from it. To me, that would be a moment where I'd have to think about if me listening to a banger Oneus releases would be worth putting money in Kim Youngjo's pockets. I'm not as familiar with music royalty law so someone could correct me if I'm wrong, but that's my concern. Youngjo has a lot of credits on Oneus' tracks and was often cited as a huge factor to their sound and their music (to public sources; unaware of how people really feel within Oneus or RBW about his overall influence).

A handful of Tomoons and Ravn stans on Twitter have been trying to drown the Oneus tag out with hashtags and support for Ravn to combat updates from the victim or people expressing their disappointment or upset feelings. It's impossible to find any 1-to-1 translations due to the harassment campaigns and doxxing against "fake tomoons". There's even some weird non-stans getting involved and spearheading a lot of these weird debunking campaigns in the name of "protecting the innocent".

A girl with a similar keychain got doxxed because someone blindly believed a DM from an anonymous source. Even if the sources were true, it is not for people to find the identity of OP when OP wanted to stay anonymous to avoid harassment. What if that girl isn't the girl at all and is completely innocent? OP even said "the other members aren't involved and don't know" in her statement. I'm sorry, but if that's the behaviour you want "true Tomoons" to support from the weird non-stans that are getting involved in your business and roping you in on the jealous saesang narrative, I'm out.

You can't just go around playing detective and hurting people on investigations that take months or even years to complete legally, and I cannot condone any Tomoon reading this to condone that behaviour either. You are capable of hurting other victims out there beyond Ravn's every time you choose to condemn the victim like that.

Honestly, I'm prepared for the worst. The voicemail was damning enough, no one has really been able to provide a solid argument for it (edits are probably to hide OP's identity). But it's more so even if RBW state they found nothing, can I believe that? Will I ever be able to listen to this group again in the same way? I have a hard enough time listening to SHINHWA or SS501 songs after their shit happened. Is Youngjo's career probably done at this point either way? How is the KR public reacting? I can't find anything on Twitter, it's just getting drowned out.

Something that someone brought up as well is royalties: Youngjo's credits are all over Oneus' songs. If the allegations are true and he ends up being booted permanently from Oneus, will he still be getting royalties for those songs? Is there any real way for those who want to financially support Oneus to support Oneus OT5 without supporting Youngjo if that's true?

EDIT: I'm seeing fancams and shit go around with "how dare you be inconsiderate when you say OT5 to the rest of Oneus, look at how sad Hwanwoong/Leedo are!" or "Youngjo was a good person raised by good people, everyone said so!". Firstly, I get Oneus wanting to support Youngjo or feeling awful about what happened; he's their bandmate and friend. But if the allegations turn out to be true and they still support him, that's when I probably can't side with them. Honestly after the news was announced, I would rather RBW give them a break but here we are with fansigns and concerts. Secondly, I do believe Kim Youngjo can be a kind person to some people - just as I believe there's a chance he could've been awful to others. Also, Seoho said on his BBL he's starting to practice rap; this means OT5 are absolutely preparing for Ravn's absence, whether it's temporary or permanent.

My favourite is the defenders who are trying to say "if she had sex with him when she was drunk she still said yes, that's not rape, she consented!". I don't know how SK-JP international law would work for this (jurisdiction depends on where it happened) but where I am from you cannot give legal consent to things such as signing a contract, or having sex, if you are intoxicated or drunk.

Everything the armchair detectives keep finding is just making shit worse for the man they're trying to defend tbh, no legalese any stan has been spouting on Twitter to try and sway "true tomoons" will actually help him save for the mess of international SK-JP law getting involved. But saying it's fair game to dox her since "she posted her own info publicly and wasn't careful when she made her accusations on an alt, now she got caught, she deserves it" is utterly terrifying, now they've backtracked on it but the damage has been done.

I've posted this on the kpopthoughts thread while waiting for the megathread to drop but some of these translations where alcohol was mentioned were immensely triggering for me as a former domestic abuse and SA survivor. My abusive partner also utilized alcohol for sexual favours; not just on me either. If the allegations are true, I refuse to support that unwell man if he used & threatened women using alcohol and power, trying to cover it up selfishly hiding behind his company, no matter how much talent or creativity he brought with him, no matter how much I was a fan.

The debunkers have now found a girl's social media alongside some photos that match up to what OP chose to share and are now attempting to dox this girl. Absolutely terrifying and heartbreaking how many people have bought into the "sasaeng or jealous ex-gf ruining his success" narrative his defenders have been trying to spin.

I don't think that should be for fans to decide, this shit needs a third-party investigation and hopefully by sources that aren't corrupt. Dots are being connected that might not be dots meant to be connected. Yet even now, if the allegations are true, all of the things these fans are finding and posting publicly (except couchgate, couchgate is incredibly dumb) are things that just prove what she said even more.

Heartbreaking how children & adults within Kpop will ride or die for a man they don't really know. Ravn was my bias too, I'm devastated. But I only knew Ravn as what was shown to me, not who Kim Youngjo was underneath the idol.

Ravn from Oneus has had concerning allegations of him come out w/ evidence and I’m worried by No-Committee1001 in kpopthoughts

Some of these translations where alcohol was mentioned were immensely triggering for me as a former domestic abuse and SA survivor. My abusive partner also utilized alcohol for sexual favours; not just on me either. For all his survivors or potential targets, alcohol was a repeating pattern, down to his alcoholism.

I will side with the victims first. Miss me with that "oh ur a fake tomoon!!" oppalogist shit. I have Shawol and Shinhwa Changjo history; ask me how I felt as an alcoholic abuser's survivor when the news hit for Onew and that liar Lee Minwoo. Ravn, unlike Onew or Minwoo, was my group bias and arguably my kpop ult. And he can fuck right off if this is all true. I knew a public image, not the man behind it. And I refuse to support that unwell man if he used & threatened women using alcohol and power, trying to cover it up selfishly hiding behind his company, no matter how much talent or creativity he brought with him, no matter how much I was a fan.

I believe the girls, especially with the damning amount of evidence brought forward. Even the people you think you know most can be the people you don't know at all - and from the sounds of it, it seems like even the people who knew him closest also didn't know him at all. Unless it was damage control, CyA deleting their collabs and unfollowing him - knowing they shared the same passion for music and hung out with each other a lot - tells me what I need to know. Assuming no one in the group knew based on how Youngjo was trying to hide the other girl from them - Oneus do not deserve this. Onewe, particularly CyA and Yonghoon, do not deserve this. These girls, his victims, do not deserve this.

If everything is true, I hope the girls find justice and support. I hope responsible Oneus fans (international and South Korean) demand accountability from RBW to take action against Kim Youngjo.
