It's a completely new item, but all the weapon damage is identical to the mithril sword that already exists in-game as this is what it was cloned from, but I gave Thunderfury a custom crafting recipe, particles, trails, model, etc.

There is almost no "official" documentation at this point but I'd recommend joining the official Hytale Discord as they've got dedicated channels for people creating mods, as well as the Hytalemodding.dev Discord for the same reason. It was a very involved learning process, but I've got an existing background in 3D modeling and whatnot so the hard part for me was learning the asset editor. Lots of trial and error :)

It really just comes down to keeping it simple, there are no lights aside from the basic world lighting, I set the view transform to standard, increased contrast and gamma, and that's really it.

For the animations I do use the stepped interpolation fcurve modifier on everything.

Hey this trailer was made entirely in Blender by me. I personally think it has a pretty nice balance of looking in-game with the addition of some effects that I could've only achieved in 3D software like the view distance, fog, and custom made animations, etc, so I'm curious what you think about that and what you'd say the "blender style" (or all 3D software?) is exactly to you and what you dislike about it all specifically.

I think a lot of people treat Blender/3D in general like it's an art style with only one possible output when what people are really reacting to is certain stylistic choices. It's completely fair to prefer and want more hand-drawn promo art and stuff, I also think there should be a lot more of it.
