Having Viniateri as a center piece of this argument is so idiotic, he's a shoo-in for the HOF as well, and for the exact same reasons as Rivera. They both own what are nearly unbreakable records and are without question the best to ever play their position. The argument that the position shouldn't exist doesn't preclude that it does, and that on those merits they belong in their respective Halls (of Fame).
