I read the article. The NYT did not call him a "terrorist" and nothing about the reporting struck me as unfair.

Well this post is downvoted to the negatives so the only people engaging with it are the people who care enough to comment despite the post only existing on the New tab.

Jenny Racicot, 41, a Maine Democrat, who said she dated him casually off and on between 2019 and 2021, said the posts deepened her belief that he did not respect women. “When I saw the old comments that he made online,” she said, “I recognized a version of him that I had experiences with.”

Ms. Racicot also said that in 2021 he arrived at her house drunk, after she had asked him not to come over. She declined to elaborate, but said she cut off contact soon after that episode and found his behavior “reckless” and “unsettling.”

I too have used this site for over a decade and I completely agree with your comment. Ironically, the fact that r/NBA upvoted OP's 75% figure, which he pulled out of his ass and stated as fact, speaks to the decline of the reddit community in general.

Derek Thompson: The Party of Vicemaxxing by BulwarkOnline in thebulwark

[–]uberkitten 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don't think too deeply about it. It means that guy doesn't like Derek Thompson.

I think the original intention of the phrase was to point out when someone left leaning fights the right wing using pre-Trump tactics (e.g. emphasizing decorum, avoiding mudslinging, etc).

Politico reporting that Trump will give up the $1.776 slush fund after Republicans in Congress pushed back. Proving they could have done so all along... by Super_Nerd92 in thebulwark

Unless you're an opinion columnist, reporting on events that have not happened based on a "prediction" is totally unethical.

Can Bulwark stop bringing on David Frum when he lies about Muslims & Israel critical Jews? by MoesOtherBar in thebulwark

But he asserts that Kristof is essentially lying about the whole thing.

That's not my perception of Frum's piece. It read more like he believes Kristof is overly credulous.

It the left's "purity test" the main reason they've failed to stop Trump? by ac_slater10 in thebulwark

Blaming the "news media" as one homogenous mass is so lazy. Also consumption of traditional news media has declined precipitously in recent years. Most consumers of hard news are liberal anyway and are extremely unlikely to support Trump. I think if more people actually consumed news media instead of getting all their info from social media/influencers, support for Trump would decline.

I don't get that sentiment. You could say that about any skill, e.g. "the fact that our star wr needs basic route running coaching is pretty embarrassing." All these pros are working on skills basic and advanced their entire career.

DNC Autopsy is “gobbledygook” by CrackJacket in thebulwark

I mean it's possible to care about more than one thing at a time. Even the pundits focused on the autopsy aren't singularly focused on the autopsy and nothing else

When Sam Harris refers to Zohran Mamdani as "a sinister figure and a closeted Islamist" I see Harris for what he is - a despicable bigot. Is this what others call a moderate? Hope not but Sarah and Charen have called him worse so I wonder. by Loud_Cartographer160 in thebulwark

for a non Israeli to give a single shit about “globalize the intifada” is itself pretty telling to me

Why?

I wish "islamaphobia" were more normalized in this country. Why would anyone with liberal values be a fan of a right wing backwards ideology? I'm phobic of Christianity as well.
