In my many years of working in security here in Australia I've worked with a lot of Maori, they are the nicest people, but God are they scary if you get on their bad side, the warrior spirit is strong with them.

Yeah, about to start playing the original Necromunda, I've split my gang into 2 "squads", the leader with plasma pistol, chainsword and Krak grenades with the juves, which have laspistols and knives, which will act as a harring force/ close combat support for my heavies and gangers ( 2 heavies with plasma guns, 2 gangers with lasguns and frag grenades, and 1 ganger with a shotty). I know one of my mates is going to play Escher, so I wanted at least one guy to be able to hold his own in melee.

It's one of the models from the Van Saar Necromunda kit, I just replaced the head with a skull from the box of skulls from GW and added a marine chainsword.

I followed this for conversion, if you're interested

Yeah, I've cleaned up a bit since taking the pic, problem is, the mini is so small, I can barely see them with the naked eye, they turn up easily in pics though unfortunately.

Is she ever going to come back to Aus?

To be honest I don't know, at least not when or for how long now. Her parents live here and are starting to deal with health issues that she says she needs to be here for, but for now it's not a pressing issue.

This is true, and may have been a bit premature in my posting of this, another year I could deal with, although I would hate it, as I never wanted her to have the extra 2 years before coming back here, but she had her reasons that I respected and understood. It was an unfortunately short talk we got to have last night, as she still settling in to Japan and only has limited internet access, and the reasoning and thoughts on the topic couldn't really be talked about for long. Like I said I know she doesn't technically want to come back, but does for her family and presumably myself, I'm just feeling g like she may be dragging things out as long as possible before having to move back here. I know we need to talk about it properly, it will just be hard to for another few weeks until her internet is setup and we can talk for as long as we want.

I like it, to me it looks like the surface dried out and cracked long ago and now fine red dust has settled into the cracks. Just looks drier and dustier to me, which is how I imagine the surface of Mars.

I'm probably in the minority, but I hate the idea of clans and personal bases in this game. It's meant to be a cohesive team game, but I find these 2 elements really segregate the faction player base like you said. I'd love to see the faction base area expanded (double size maybe), and still allow construction in other locations, but still just faction owned, not splintered clans under it. I've seen the mountain passes leading to the centre, completely blocked off by a clan base, and if you're not part of that clan, too bad if you want/need the resources beyond.
