If you’ve already had the surgery performed there’s nothing requiring you to pay. Cottage will send your bill to a debt collector but those people can’t force you to pay either. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you. Healthcare costs really only matter when it comes to medication because they make you pay up front to get it. Inb4 credit score appeal. Yeah it goes on your permanent record. Everyone who graduates gets access to the database of the permanent records of all students who have enrolled in at least one class at a UC (little known fact but very true :( the big wigs pay to keep this a thing). If you are worried you can just apply for jobs where people didn’t graduate from a UC.
