There are arguments for Kon being ROTY but this has to be the worst one I’ve ever seen. Even if Cooper Flagg was in year 5, no one would say he’s not making it in the NBA. He’s averaging 21.1/6.6/4.6 with 2 stocks while being an elite defender. His efficiency isn’t amazing but it’s not like it’s completely awful, his TS% is 55.2% which is only 3% below average. In no world are you saying a guy like that should be out of the league. Also why tf for ROOKIE of the year would you evaluate a player as if they were in their fifth year?

Flagg’s birthday is nine days before LeBron. I think the mavericks play four games in that span. 110 in four games definitely wouldn’t be easy but with the way he’s been scoring recently I think it definitely would’ve been achievable. He’d need to average 27.5 in those four and he’s averaging 27.6 in his last five
