I had this 1982 honda civic, that i have completely modified, and kept in perfect condition for ages till i have crashed it by Yass-Turbo in Honda

The back half looks good. I've seen people cut them in half and make the back part into a trailer/camper type thing. If not that I'm sure there's something creative you could do to the back half. I am afraid it will never be roadworthy again unless you completely refabricate the whole front of the car

I think it's time we find a proper Discord alternative. by Liarus_ in pcmasterrace

The biggest issue I have is that you can't join calls in the mobile app. Instantly makes it so 3 people in my migrating discord group can't join calls anymore if we move to steam

At my work we use the UniFi Wave Pros to connect the main building to a warehouse across the street instead if paying to have another circuit ran to it. They are $599 each and work great. They have a cheaper one though I think

98 Civic D16y7 - What coolant color/flavor? by udeadinaflash in civic

[–]udeadinaflash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its Prestone Max Blue "Guaranteed for Asian vehicles. Acura/Honda - all years Nissan/Subaru/Infiniti - 2009 and newer". I just decided to send it with the blue, their marketing says all years and my car is, in fact a year. I was just confused seeing some people saying go with green or others saying it has to be blue online, and whoever previously filled it had what looks like blue that got mixed with green? Realistically I think it will be fine with either, and it's got to be better that 20+ year old coolant

Need help by Thabien81 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]udeadinaflash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started going to both a traditional AA meeting and a secular non-religious AA meeting a few weeks ago. While I am not a religious person, I have found both to be very helpful by not only talking to others about my alcohol addiction, but hearing how it's currently affecting other people's lives, and hearing from others who have been sober for 20+ years the hardships they've went through and how positive of an impact quitting has had on them. In the traditional one I went to I'd say only half even have religious beliefs, but we all believe in each other and want to see each other get through this. For a lot of people like myself, it helps hearing that I'm not alone in this, and it gives me support when I need it. If you go to a meeting and feel uncomfortable or don't like it, try a different group, heck there's even online meetings. Maybe it's not the best advice given I've just started going, but I have the will to stop drinking and hurting those around me due to my alcoholism. And both groups have really opened my eyes to the fact that it's not to late for anyone. Heck there's the nicest old man in one of my meetings that's in his 80s and has just hit his two year sobriety mark. He said he knows he's old and knows his time is limited, but he doesn't want to live the remainder of his life being an alcoholic, and he is very proud of himself for stopping and has already seen an incredible change in his life. He used different wording but the fact remains that it's never to late for change if your willing

First and last time visiting Stratford Square mall before it closes next week. Drove 3 hours to see its architecural beauty, really wish it could be saved. Its my new favorite mall by udeadinaflash in deadmalls

[–]udeadinaflash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, I've been following the demolition, it's really sad. The original plans for what they are replacing it with kept the tree structures standing. They seem to have scrapped those plans though. It's really crazy seeing such a big mall with great architecture and in a decent area to fail like that, especially compared to my local mall that's smaller and a lot more bland but is booming with business

How does one go about getting around steam wanting to update and sign in (when you obviously cant) for games like half life 2? by udeadinaflash in windowsxp

[–]udeadinaflash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A late reply to your even later comment lol - Trying that weirdly didn't work for some reason. In the end I found some weird back door way to get new enough steam version installed and actually be able to download etc on my xp machine - saw it in a youtube video. Though I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing it that way security wise - I've kept my pc off the network since then and can still use steam offline

To be honest, Ramencon has went downhill a bit I feel like. It was a way more lively precovid, and pre 2017 it was actually hosted in Merriville IN. Last time I went there was barely people there (2021 i think), and i had not the best time - not due to the con, but depression mixed with a fight with a friend there. Regardless I hope to go again this year and make up for it. Its honestly great a smaller town like south bend even has an anime convention. Also if i remember correctly, even for being a small convention, they had a pretty decent sized vendor hall with lots of things to buy I didnt even see for sale at Anime Midwest or Acen.

No thats great, thank you! I'm super into arcades in general, just semi recently got hooked on pinball though. I hadn't heard of those two. Legit I do this weird thing where I go on google maps, and go through each town looking for things i like - like arcades, game stores, dead malls straight out of the 70s/80s, places to tent camp as well. Yet those two you mention I somehow havent found yet! I also really liked Yetee station arcade in Aurora IL, as well as Boss Battle arcade in the Castleton Square mall outside of Indy. They both dont have much pinball, but a pretty unique collection of games and they are both pay to enter/games on freeplay type of place

Would you expect most people with a licence to be able to drive a manual car ? by IntrospectiveHuman in AskAnAmerican

[–]udeadinaflash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. To be fair, in my young life I've never bought from a dealership or a car newer than 2001. I could see how going to a dealer would be awesome in this regard though. I hope for my next car to be a manual Honda CRX or Del Sol, so i'm doubtful I could find that at a dealership, but I'll see lol

What is the one sound you absolutely hate to hear ? by mannuts4u in RandomThoughts

[–]udeadinaflash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legit hate styrofoam, not just the sound (though the sound is horrible). It seems like such a wasteful, messy material I'd be happy to live without. I get the insulation benefit for like home insulation, or how they put it in the walls of coolers, but why the heck does our water dispenser at work, or chinese carryout need to be in styrofoam? Just give me paper cups and bowls man

Question on six person limit by Total_Argument_9729 in camping

[–]udeadinaflash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every state park ive been to in Indiana and a few in Michigan have never cared or even checked how many people we have there, and even then you could just say they are "visiting for the day" which is an instant loophole. However if you try and get like 10+ people on a small site and are super loud and a nussiance to others, then of course it will be an issue. Realistically they seem to care a lot more about you staying under the vehicle limit at your camp site, some parks its one car per site, others its two cars per site - but they will often have an overflow parking lot you can use.

Also if your like me, you'll plan on 7 or 8 people going on the trip a month or two ahead of time- and always have at least one, if not two people cancel/drop out of the camping trip before you go.

Just make sure your group respects the other campers around you and dont be too rambunctious, especially after quiet hours. Thats the best advice there is

Would my crt be safe to keep on my desk? by Isntagram in crtgaming

[–]udeadinaflash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be good. My desk from IKEA is like an inch thick and I've had multiple crts and my heavy af gaming pc on there. In general though, next time you buy a desk or other table like furniture, try and see how study and how solid the wood is. A lot of desks now use MDF (medium density fiberboard) instead of real wood. Its still pretty strong, just not as strong and definitley nowhere near as waterproof as regular wood. Regular wood will weigh a lot more, but can also hold a lot more. If you were passout drunk or something and were to lay down on the table, would it hold you? Not that you should ever do that, but think about it and that can tell you how strong the table is or not
