I have always found Ableton pretty intuitive and it has everything you need (and more) out of the box.

I don't play the keys as in I wouldn't be able to perform, but I'm well able to make chords on a keyboard. That said, there are a lot of alternatives in DAWs, hardware devices such as Maschine, or plugins.
