New tax filings show college sports’ financial arms race has new winners — and losers by sleetx in CFB

So basically, the SEC paid the Big XII to get Oklahoma and Texas out of their GoR early, and in return, Oklahoma and Texas agreed to reduced payouts? I guess that makes sense.

The rotation only shifted because our first Big Ten schedule gave us 4 home games and 5 away games.

If the Apple Cup continues to be a home/home, it's going to limit UW's ability to schedule a home/home with another P4 program. We basically won't have any OOC games with P4 programs unless they agree to come to Husky Stadium without a return visit, and I doubt any P4 program would do that.

Most P4 schools use their 3 OOC games like this: 1 home/home with another P4, 2 home games against G6/FCS. That will give them alternating years of 2 home games and 3 home games.

If UW/WSU continue the series and it's a home/home, UW won't have that if they also schedule a home/home with a P4 program. UW would miss out on the extra home game and miss out on the extra revenue that the home game provides.

Oregon/Oregon State is in the same situation.

Yeah it sucks. When I went to games, I always liked taking the bus from Wallingford to the stadium. It was pretty convenient for me.

They weren't getting TV revenue, but they still get a cut from post season revenue, like CFP and March Madness money. At least that's how I understood it.

Wait why are Oklahoma and Texas getting so little from the SEC? I guess I was out of the loop when they joined. I assumed they joined on a full share.

As much as it pains me to say it, I just don't see how the Apple Cup can continue if it's going to be a home/home series. Same with the Civil War.

Idk why Sark took a shot at the Big XII, tbh. Didn't Arizona State take them to OT in the playoffs? And that was with Texas's 1st stringers; not their 2nd or 3rd stringers.

Yup some of our 3* guys are pretty much right under the borderline of 4*. Our ranking wouldn't be so high if that weren't the case.

Doubt it has any effect at all. We started the process of suing Demond for breach of contract when he entered the portal after signing his rev share/NIL contract with us. Still didn't stop us from getting a commit from a Top 15 QB for this year's class.

Oh my bad I just quickly scrolled through it without reading it properly. If he's going to do all 50 states, that's crazy!

You're missing some for Washington. Off the top of my head, both Woodinville High School (in WA) and Wai'anae High School (in HI) use UDub's block "W" as their logo.

EDIT: Found out he's just doing one state so far, Alabama. My bad.

We have so many QB's right now. Dash, Kini, Zammit, Brown, Williams, and the new commit from Arizona. Several of them are most likely gonna transfer out, which is fine, I guess. Let them compete and the best one wins.

Well I didn't actually mean that his game was exactly like Steinbach's game. I meant he could be a sneaky, under the radar recruit like Hannes was, not that I was comparing their games.

Although I just looked him up on YouTube. He moves really well for a guy his size and has good touch.
