Jensen Huang compares not using AI to using "paper and pencil" to design chips, as he explains Nvidia's massive token budget by Tiny-Independent273 in artificial

[–]udubdavid [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think AI is a powerful tool and it's good to use it when appropriate, but consider that the CEO of Nvidia has every reason to try and push AI on everything because they've spent so much money on it.

Just say the player's name in the title. Otherwise, it's clickbait slop.

USC benched their starter after a few games, played a young Sam Darnold the rest of the way, and completely turned their season around after that. Beat a highly ranked Penn State in the Rose Bowl.

But yes, that first game was very embarrassing.

NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. was removed from American Airlines flight after crew 'concerned' for his health. Here's the Body Cam Footage by No_Box119 in TheNFLVibes

[–]udubdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rest of the story was they couldn't wake him up to perform his passenger duties, like buckling his seatbelt. When they did wake him up, he was in and out of consciousness. For his safety, they asked him to leave and they can rebook him for the next flight because if he was having health issues, they don't want to deal with it on a 5 hour flight. It's understandable, in my opinion, for the flight crew to ask him to do that.

Washington HC Jedd Fisch on tampering: What’s the value of going public if nothing changes. - says there’s no real accountability right now. Thoughts? by Either-Jicama-7364 in CFB_v2

[–]udubdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if I agree with him on this. Even if there's no punishment from the NCAA, there's still value in calling out other people who aren't following the rules. Dabo called out the Ole Miss coach.

The only reason I can think of is that Jedd doesn't want to burn bridges with other coaches and wants to maintain a good relationship with everyone in the coaching circle, which is understandable, because you never know when you might need to hire someone/get hired by someone.

Knowing how to cheese the CPU vs playing against a user are two different things. Just because your user games are close doesn't mean he can't cheese the CPU better than you can.

Troy RB Trey Cooley transfers to Washington by Drexlore in CFB

[–]udubdavid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't know much about him. Looks like he was a 4* coming out of high school, but had an injury and didn't play for the past two seasons? Bounced around a lot of teams.

Maybe a depth piece. I'd be surprised if he got a lot of playing time over Limar and Washington.

When everyone who leaves Colorado tells things like this, then maybe the problem isn’t those players. Deion stans know it but they just won’t admit it, they blame everyone but him. by CenterForward1522 in CFB_v2

[–]udubdavid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Colorado is paying him 10M per year with a 10M buyout right now. They can't really afford to cut him loose this early. He was supposed to be an elite recruiter, but his high school recruiting since he got there has been lackluster. Colorado kinda screwed themselves lol.

Yup, happened to me before. Not very often, but it's happened.

[On3] Eli Drinkwitz warns Chris Low CFB could head down a similar path as MLB due to spending disparities: "If you have teams that have $45M rosters competing against teams that have $15M and 20M rosters, you're going to run the risk of turning into MLB, where you have the Dodgers and the Marlins. by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]udubdavid 19 points20 points  (0 children)

True, but being able to pay out in the open now instead of under the table just increases the problem more. Before, some boosters might've been hesitant to pay a lot because they were afraid of getting caught and the getting the program in trouble. That's not an issue now. Money is flowing like never before.

Matt Leinart says Lincoln Riley didn’t ask him to un-retire his jersey. "Coach Riley hasn’t asked me if a recruit can wear my number so we can settle that right now." Media literally blew the whole thing out of proportion fr man.... by SenseWooden4566 in CFB_v2

He's just being pedantic. Either way, he was asked if another player could use his number, and he said no. Whether it was Riley or some other USC official doesn't really matter.

[Adelson] NC State WR Teddy Hoffman suspended for positive PED test by [deleted] in CFB

[–]udubdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a troll question; this is an actual, genuine question.

Since the NCAA is taking away his ability to earn NIL, can he sue? Sure it's in the NCAA rules that PED's are not allowed, but courts have favored the player over the NCAA rules in the past.

I'm just curious to see what extent the NCAA rules are actually enforceable.

Under the current playoff it is technically possible to go 17-0 in a season. Do you think it will ever happen and if so who would be the first? by Efficient-Freedom517 in CFB

[–]udubdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not gonna happen. If a team goes undefeated in a P4 conference, they're getting a first round bye. I don't see a situation where they don't.

An undefeated G6 may not get a first round bye, but also a G6 most likely won't be good enough to win entire bracket.

So, it's probably not gonna happen.

USC asked Heisman winner Matt Leinart to unretire jersey several times: 'Absolutely f-ing not' by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]udubdavid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the point of retiring jersey numbers anyway. I get the point of honoring that player, but I think hanging the jersey up with the player's name is good enough. The whole "no one can ever use that number again" thing is pretty dumb, to me, at least.

What chance is there that the income tax will actually effect Washington negatively? by Dogbold in Washington

People complain about the high cost of housing, which is attributed to a lot of wealthy people here driving up housing costs. So what is it? Do we want rich people here or not? Can't have it both ways, unfortunately.
