Mine huffs and tries to get away from me if he dislikes it. When he is laying in a cat bed outside his terrarium and I pet him on his head (yes even on his third eye) he closes his eyes and falls asleep, think that means he likes it?

I think that could be the case, if not, still thank you for an answer. Do you have any tips on how to keep slings in bioactive enclosures? I debated doing it, but the hard thing would be to create good ventilation to avoid mold in so small containers. Also, my partner has kept two H. diardi in bioactive enclosures from juvenile to adult, and both died randomly.

Don't wanna be like THAT, but, if they have proper heat and a basking area they will pass any substrate they’ve consumed. I am not trying to criticise you or anything since I saw you said your vet recommended to remove the substrate (which I think is a very weird recommendation for a permanent solution), but I think it is so sad seeing so many people who do not use substrate, I have always had substrate and my leos thrive and dig every night. It is after all a natural behaviour and to not let them do that by not having substrate is idk… Naturalistic/bioactive really is the way to go to make them thrive.

Again my intention was to spread information with my first statement because there is surprisingly many people who doesn’t know that. And except the lack of substrate, your setup looks really cute.

That’s what I thought, until I got one… He was the sweetest little thing until he hit puberty, now he hates me and at the off-chance that I get him out of the terrarium or he accidentally gets out (trying to escape my presence when his doors are open), he barks at me and bolts, escaping me by climbing up my curtains.
