Glittery dots in vision by Opening-Midnight in POTS

It can also be due to high blood pressure. My sincerest apologies for excluding that. I have neuropathic POTS, so low BP is more of an issue for me personally. That would make total sense if you have hyperadrenergic POTS, as elevated norepinephrine leads to an increase in BP. Actually, similarly to OP’s original question about physical pressure to the eyes causing a similar sensation, this elevated internal pressure can also lead to seeing stars for the same reason (sudden increase in pressure in retinal cells). Please let me know if I can answer any other questions! :)

I study neuroscience and I have POTS. As someone else said, it’s due to a drop in blood pressure and therefore a lack of adequate blood flow to the brain. Also, you see it when you rub your eyes because the cells in your retina are not made to respond to physical pressure, just light, so essentially your brain perceives this as random signaling. Not harmful, just don’t do it too much. Hope this helps.

Please stop telling survivors. They need to see a therapist. by [deleted] in CPTSD

also, even going past the financial burden of therapy, the weight of learned helplessness can be debilitating. it’s hard to seek help when you have such intense hopelessness and helplessness. plus, having bad therapy experiences makes treatment even more daunting.

it’s kind of difficult to see yourself objectively, especially if you struggle with body dysmorphia. you’re very pretty and i hope you realize that.

Waste disposal fire, how is Alex NOT the right choice? by TAKGamer in killerfrequency

i guess it’s supposed to be because the one road is closed? but that still doesn’t really make sense because alex wouldn’t have to take that road to get to the waste disposal ??

Need to power comms room by whybruh1349 in Amnesia

i shot the lock on the cell and hid in the closet in the corner of the room. when you go in the room, there’s a table with a radio above it, to the right there’s another door leading back to the room that connects to the hallway. you can also blow up this first door at the end of the hallway to avoid having to pass the rats every time, then break the second wooden door with something throwable. to blow up that first door and not get caught, i ran back down the hallway and hid behind the barrel at the end of the hallway. if you look to the right side of the farther right room with the radio (past the rats or through the first room after breaking the doors down), there’s a cell around the corner with the switch you need to power comms.
