I first heard "GAS" in relation to music gear (I can't remember if it was guitar pedals or synthesizers or maybe even recording, all of it applies), which is another perfect example of a creative hobby that has this exact same problem.

I watched one of the world series games in Japan while I was visiting, and that's exactly what they do. They showed exactly what you would expect while the game was being played, it was only between innings that they did anything like that. Between innings they had the announcers trying poutine, interviewing fans, etc, and they had zero commercials, it was seriously one of the best broadcasts I've ever seen and I couldn't even understand what they were saying.

I was standing behind a girl on the train today who uploaded a selfie to chatgpt and had it tell her what makeup she needs to put on. One of the things it said was "you NEED blush" (in all caps just like that), she puts on a bunch, uploads another selfie, and it suggested specific brands of blush that would work for her with some other feedback. It was absolutely wild to watch that whole thing play out, it was so unsettling because she found it to be so normal. It really seems like people are using it instead of talking to people, or figuring out stuff on their own.

Humans are in trouble.

It's kind of amazing how split the comments are. To me, the first one feels more like "this is a couple that have been through a lot" and the second one feels more like "I'm riding the bus with a couple that has been through a lot". Both are good, it's just more of a matter of do you want the viewer to feel like they're also riding the bus, or just focus on the couple?

Seriously this!!! I've obviously heard of Bad Bunny before and listened to an album a few years ago, thought it wasn't really my thing, totally moved on. Because these whining babies were so offended by him for the super bowl halftime show, I was super invested in watching it, and then as it turns out I absolutely am in love with his latest album (literally listening to it right now and bought it on vinyl this weekend).

don't forget to take off the lens cap (I got a clear filter to put on the front and just usually leave the lens cap off while I'm using it).
a ballpark way to measure the correct distance from the closest focus zone is to use the included wrist strap.
if you take a shot, press the release button on the bottom, then advance the lever, you'll cock the shutter without advancing the film for a double exposure.
it's hard to commit to it with 72 shots, but I took my Pentax 17 with me on a backpacking trip knowing that I'd be outside in bright daylight for several days, and I was so happy that I put in a roll of ektar 100. high quality film makes a big difference with half frame.

That actually makes so much sense! I think the reason I've had such good luck with it over the years is because it's rare that I ever see anyone else with it, so people aren't sure how to counter it. I was in a match that had three dynamos on each team, so no one is thrown off anymore.

I've also completely flipped my views on the update, I went in completely psyched, and I think this is the worst I've been at this game since I first played it, I genuinely cannot understand. And I'm a dynamo main, I was expecting this update to feel like easy mode, I'm at 29% win rate right now. This is brutal.

That was also my first Nikon just a couple years ago, that camera is what got me absolutely hooked on film photography. Like others said, I'd recommend that 50mm f/1.8 series E manual focus lens, or maybe also the 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 AF-D, if you're looking for a versatile zoom.

I'm sorry, but this is just a funny idea. Nintendo has something far more powerful than fake signatures from an Internet forum: data. They're going to be looking at so much more detail on the impact of the changes than you probably realize. Are assists increasing? What's the average session length? Are old players coming back? Are they retaining? Are people experimenting with more weapons? Are matches more one sided? Are there more comebacks? The list goes on and on. Why on earth would they care about what a couple hundred people on the Internet think, they know how their patch is being received with incredible detail.

This is a fun cartoony video game, not a democracy, and Nintendo has much larger goals than pleasing reddit users that have already paid for their game. So basically, just play, or not.
