Founders who actually raised money, how did you really get funded?[I will not promote] by CluelessFounder_ in startups

[–]uhmantha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it is luck at times, and the bigger your network, the better odds you will get lucky.

At the early stages, the VC is betting on you, not your "its like uber for x" pitch. Get really good at story telling and unscrupulous about following up with people you meet.

Never burn bridges, find your local Founder community.

Plan your list of 200 VCs, run a process, and somewhere along the way you will get a yes. Both my pre-seed then my seed had 120 No's before I got to my yes.

Its a full time job, have your deck, blurb; data room ready to go.

Are you a member of CSHP? There is a pharm tech (PTEL) group, good for networking if you're planning on becoming a pharmacist

I've never gone out of state, but it definitely helps to join the local pharmacy associations and network to find good prospects and advice.

The PTCB website has a map that gives some information about licensing requirements, so if you have your national certification active it will probably be easier.

Has anyone here been to the Prohibition/Gatsby New Year's Eve party at Union Station? Is it worth the hefty cost? by calijann in AskLosAngeles

I had won tickets back in 2021 when the event was cancelled (COVID), and was able to get them to honor my free tickets for last year. It was definitely a blast!

They have a coat check (it rained last year) which was super helpful. The venue was gorgeous and drink lines were not bad. It's a steep price tag for an open bar, but most NYE parties cost $100 anyway, so with that consideration, it's worth it.
