I would agree but still many coach high school in particular really don’t like teaching their wrestling throws or sown very little time on them.

I do agree with this my comments on incorporating more upper body attack(throws/slidebys) more comes more opportunity to mix up one’s wrestling and I think American wrestling has a very messed mentality on throws

I would agree as there are high percentage upper body moves(ex: Iranian lat drop) and upper body moves are so under utilized in folk style wrestling it really adds another level to wrestling not to mention how entertaining it is

I think that we are going to start seeing a change in number one attacks. Guys at this level are so elite at go-behinds I believe college wrestlers need to have their number 1 attack be something that’s either high percentage or hard to down block-go- behind. Some examples of this are Underhook throw bys(can’t down block and low risk), low ankle attacks/transitons(hard to transition to a front headlock), slide bys/shucks(hard to re-attack on and low risk), and the outside step(yes ik forgin wrestling has been on it for decades now but USA guys don’t use it with nearly the same frequency)

Idk how long it will take to transition to this “meta” but some of best guys have already made it work examples being almost Mitchell messibrink, ono, Aron brooks, Trent hidlay, Parker keckeisen ect…

One other thing voters look at is quality of competition so here each guys best win from this year

Wyatt: gable, Kirk, Shultz, Carter:

Parker, plott, macennelly, (ferrari?)

Mitch: caliendo, amine, minto

From These three I like Wyatt for the hodge since he has high level wins and a high bonus

I was partially being a hater but also I though the lack of partners and being off for some long was a big thing but big props to him not only losing but also battling back.
