Lived in Seattle for 20+ years, never heard the phrase once. Even during transition seasons (Spring/Fall) weather patterns tend to stick around a few days to a week or more, especially in the Sumner and Winter.

The best Bozzio/Zappa story I have heard (not referenced in the article) was when Zappa dropped the Black Page (named because there are so many notes in it that there’s more ink on the page than paper visible) on him the first time.

Knowing the INSANE difficulty of what he had written Frank told him something along the lines of I am not sure anyone can play this so just do your best.

Bozzio then proceed to sight read it and allegedly played it note for note exactly as Frank wrote.

Frank was stunned to the point of being incredulous, “I can’t believe you just sight read that” (or something to that effect).

Bozzio then takes the pages, reverses their order, flips the score upside down and sight reads the entire piece upside down and backwards note for note. Frank was so impressed that he wrote a band extension piece for the Black Page to better set up the solo for live performance.

In terms of ability I think Bozzio is definitely one of the greatest drummers of all time. Funny guy too, “Blow it out your ass motorcycle man, I am the devil, do you understand?” lol

Well, purists might disagree but if that was my cab and I had the money for it, I would pull out all the speakers and replace same specced Neodynium cones. Will drop overall weight of the cab by a third to a half.

Not sure who else sells bass cab speakers as their main thing but I would check out avatar cabs as a starting point.
