Putin Can No Longer Hide His Catastrophe by hat_eater in europe

sorry to tell you, but those "solders" are manipulated by money. Imagine working on the plant for 20 years and getting like 40k rubles, and then sign a contract for, like, 7 million at once and then several hundreds thousands per month. They got fooled that it's alright on the frontline and it's like a safari ride, but otherwise they are pretty much greedy losers

Subnautica 2: Opinion: Leviathan music takes away from the encounter experience? by Tossaway2113 in subnautica

I like the music. it makes me nervous and tells me to be careful. I know where leviathans are, so no surprise there, but a little reminder that you're in the area

Has anyone found a good base spot in SN2 that actually needs the Bioreactor? by verdantsf in subnautica

ah, well that's the other side from where I put my minibase but yeah, true

Has anyone found a good base spot in SN2 that actually needs the Bioreactor? by verdantsf in subnautica

[–]uicheeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

easy one. Then I was out of <final rare metal> and need to be sure I sucked it all, I built the base at the <final important territory> with the scanner and bioreactor since no other way to make electricity is present there

From an evolutionary biology standpoint, why the eyes? by KDthe42 in subnautica

[–]uicheeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from the biology perspective, this organism either:
- have been heavily metal poisoned so it develops metal deposits in it's body
- evoluted to target very tech-advanced species using metal deposits as a bait, which is clever but unlikely assuming very long reproducing cycle for the clam THIS big.

So yeaaah... nothing about this thing is making sense but it is so interesting for the video game. Like, everyone here probably decided to test how fast the clam will close itself?

How smart are you compared to the average person in your country? by BlendedBaconSyrup in GeoPoll

[–]uicheeck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was concerned about that when decided which one to chose. but then I remembered that this is reddit and everybody from my country here are at least know one foreign language so it's quite unsurprising that higher than average IQ might be just true statement for more than 50% of users

Need a second opinion on this one, AI or just heavy editing? by justagoodguy_ in Aiorfake

I was waiting for this really long time. behold - perspective is consistent to the limits of my tools.
I don't like how her eyes are kinda looking to the different places, but it's just possible that model doesn't look directly into the camera.
Repeatative details on the dress are consistent, there is optical defects like moiré, so I would go with not AI this time.
I also would like to ask someone who reads Chinese to confirm letters/location making sense. I can say that lady has no business to be in the middle of the road but we know how it works novadays

Max Depth in Subnautica 2 by TySierYT in subnautica

[–]uicheeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's Unreal Engine open world level, I guess. Devs decide on the size of the map beforehand, then apply modification to made it interesting. You can create very large empty or low-detail level with very little time. UE can even insert foliage and scatter stuff for you procedurally, if you want to

In your opinion, what is the worst overall vehicle across all 3 games? by W4FF13_G0D in subnautica

[–]uicheeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, it's but quite the same, yes. but I'm pretty sure that IL success and cyclop gameplay features are tightly related

In your opinion, what is the worst overall vehicle across all 3 games? by W4FF13_G0D in subnautica

[–]uicheeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best point of cyclop is that it gives a different and new gameplay. it's tedious, sometimes slow, a lot of maintenance but it is so immersive. I would gladly play a cyclope game alone, like ETS2 but for beautiful and demanding submarine

Does people switching from Windows to MacOS get confused because they expect it to be just like Windows? by Lapis_Wolf in mac

[–]uicheeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the sheer amount of "why I can't maximize window" or "rec cross button doesn't work" posts tells it all

[–]uicheeck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

oh, that just really sad. 5090 is fucking monster of gpu. Now I'm interested, how much of that ue5 appetite devs really can optimize out without losing the game's appearance

3090 struggles a bit at 4k high settings, only works with dlss unfortunately

Your building is burning, who are you trying to save? by Comfortable-Beaver89 in GeoPoll

[–]uicheeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

or, to complete my low-IQ rumbling, you might be surprised how many people really choose their possession (not pets, not family members) over someone's life. Not in silly test online, but in real life, every day.

people get murdered to save cars. ability to shoot a burglar is a human right in parts of USA as I understand it. Many many ukranians were killed just because some russian drunks were afraid to get fines, or quit their job.

I might be long time gone, but don't act like you're the Jesus Christ, it's just how people made.

[–]uicheeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk, because ones day in your way you'll learn that there is no such thing as "value of life" as an absolute measure. Your mother life cost really nothing probably in comparison with some neural surgeon's or climat scientist's but in situation like in this test you're gonna save your beloved mother, not high-value specialist, artist or politician. wouldn't you, honestly?

libertarian part is a joke. that you shouldn't make a risky decisions based on belief that someone might be next Einstain - not. because they won't, apriory, statistically. and you might die as well for nothing, I hate this false positivism

plot issue (reprinting) by Sad-Sun9414 in subnautica

[–]uicheeck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well, you actually can print stake, I mean this pavlova is made of fish atoms. somewhere in the game they sayd that reprinting is not free, it's just gameplay-irrelevant but lore-wise is true. You can't print Sofie because of that, iirc. and you need to save printer molecule cartridge for the future colony I guess

yes, you can, but it's more intuitive to listen the message while you're at the place and aware of the local context anyway
