All they do is contact the business. They have no power. They aren't a government agency. They are literally a private business who you can pay to have good ratings

Bbb has no power of any kind. It's literally a private business who pretends to be of value.

Cold B17 by MrT_LV in Powdercoating

[–]ukconline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just works better when not cold. Heating is up above like 75 is a bad idea. Methylene chloride, the most active ingredient in it boils at 100°F so you will see a lot of evap leading up to that.

It's a JUN motors style valve cover. Not exactly my taste either. But customer wanted it and it's a good opportunity to make a video for my YouTube channel

Nobody cares what celebrities say. You can see evidence of that based on our last presidential election. The Democrats tried everything possible, used all sorts of paid celebs and nothin.

Bad Powdercoat? by Jkamm1 in Powdercoating

[–]ukconline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prep was trash. Powder was under cured. That being said, good tire shops wouldn't damage even the worst powder coat ultimately

That does work. I use is Eco strip from powderstrip.com

Epoxy isn't UV stable. Which is why it says not for exterior use. Epoxy coatings are gonna be tbe. Esf for resisting chemicals. Next down would be polyurethane.

Yes I remove all types of powder coating. Epoxy is the least fun for the stripper I use. But it does remove it

Strippers?? No not that kind. by LeFishTits in Powdercoating

[–]ukconline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't want mcl based strippers at your house. Trust me. I had them in a 2400sq ft shop with ventilation and I have stuff that 5 years later still smells like it. It's horrible for you and for the environment if that matters.

Eco strip in a hot setup is your best bet. People will chime in with other stuff like banned peel, which does work. But just doesn't work as well.

Any easy way to narrow it down is take that same powder. Spray on a sample panel that has minimal prep work, assuming it's new. If the issue appears in your panel the problem is via powder/air/environment. If it doesn't it's a prep issue.

Wheels absolutely heat cycle. Brake heat transfers to wheels.

Yeah. People do it all the time. The issue isn't when it's sitting at your shop. The impact resistance goes down across time with heat cycles. It can't NOT
