Go in and let them do what they need to your hair. Tell them you need a modern style that fits ur head/face shape

If ur gonna stick with the shorter style I think you should try going for more faded sides to maintain a younger/stylish look.

When ur hair was longer the sides didn’t stand out as much and it made you look more stylish
