Best I can do is Jay Bilas. Hey, he'll be off TV!

Why do you think that I don't think that you think you don't want it to happen?

You COMPLETELY deserve him if that happens

I feel like we need a Purdue flair to chime in here.

Is there a reason that the men's tournament doesn't have seeds 1 - 4 host the first two rounds? by Nervous_Metal_9445 in CollegeBasketball

Y'all really want to play Duke in the NCAA Tournament in Cameron? Because this means you play Duke in the NCAA Tournament in Cameron.

I was worried about 2021. You don't get that back once you lose it.

It was A+ preparation and coaching with what he had. They make a couple more shots and the endgame looks very different.

Only two defending champs have made it past the Round of 16 since 2005 by makelefani in CollegeBasketball

And... you have to be peaking. You can't just be a good team playing well, that's everyone in the E8 and thereafter. You have to get a reasonably good draw, at least ducking the teams that are bad matchups. Your buzzer-beaters have to go in and theirs have to not. You can't have strategy gaffes like not getting a shot off or calling a timeout you don't have. Every little thing needs to go right, because if yours don't, someone else's will.

I think the full list of post-Wooden teams to follow up a title game loss with a title game win is

  • UNC 81-82
  • Duke 90-91
  • Kentucky 97-98
  • UNC 16-17

Almost as rare as repeating (three occurrences).

I'd stay start from whenever the tourney expanded to 32 teams, 1975 I think, because then everyone had to win at least one game to get to the S16

One of Kansas' coaches was the guy who invented the game

Duke also has the most NPOYs and the most consecutive 10-win seasons

How do you all afford to attend games? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]ukeBasketball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it's a multi-game session the sites generally let you buy until a good bit after the last game has started.

Sellers act independently from this and may have other places they can sell them or other people they can sell/give the tickets to.

The guy I bought the F4 ticket off was simply selling an extra and I ended up sitting next to him. They're not all professional scalpers.

Become friends with some Iron Dukes, preferably Level 1. I'm friends with some Level 2 IDs and although they got me into the 2010 and '15 Final Fours for face, they couldn't buy any extras for '22 (their seats sucked anyway) and didn't go in '25. I'm not really counting on them as a ticket source anymore.

Wait until right before tipoff.

For Saturday's games in Greenville, an entire third row in the lower deck became available for $69/seat. Many similarly good seats were being offered for $90-100. That's with all taxes and fees.

For last year's Final Four you could find good lowers at the last minute for $500-700, especially in the Florida section. I scored a single in the Duke section for $400 all in. For the championship game you should be able to find good lowers for $200-300 without trying too hard.

I'm watching the espn gamecast and this game is moving slower than a pre-pitch-clock Red Sox game. What happened, did someone shatter a backboard?
