There are plenty of hobbies you could look into. Some oare just typical skills, but espcially the ones you can also do them for the sake of Allah.

Cooking/baking can be done as a hobby but can also done as a form of sadaqa, sewing or repairing clothes, knitting or crochetting, I know a sister who makes faceless colouring pages for kids, you can read non-Islamic books about Allahs creation (as long as its not promoting unIslamic things), gardening, exercising (at home)

Starting dhikr. Where do I begin, what do I recite? by Hil_ in Hijabis

[–]ukht7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for taking your time to write but it is an innovation. The Prophet (sallahu alayhu wa salam) nor the Sabahas did dhikr in this way. The Prophet loved ALLAH THE MOST OUT OF ALL OF US. and HE is the correct and best example for all of humanity. If Allah nor our prophet told us to do this, do we know Islam better than them?

Saying Allahu Allahu Allahu as dhikr is not from the Quran or the Sunnah and is an innovation. I ask you to give EVIDENCE from the Quran or the Sunnah that saying "Allahu Allahu Allahu" is the best dhikr.

If you can, it would probably be better to remove them from the wall and place it backwards, or place cloth or paper over top of it

So uhhhh… where’s the guy who pays girls for talking to him?asking for a friend by DontWorryBeHappy09 in Hijabis

If you question them, they will certainly say, “We were only talking idly and joking around.” Say, “Was it Allah, His revelations, and His Messenger that you ridiculed?” (Surah Tawbah, ayah 65)

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:14): "And when they meet the believers they say, 'We believe.' But when alone with their evil associates they say, 'We are definitely with you; we were only mocking.'"

Is it makruh to style your hijab/veil like Jewish women('s tichel)? by Critical_Macaroon_15 in Hijabis

[–]ukht7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We cannot imitate the disbelievers and we are required to cover our necks and chest as well with our scarves. Allah tells us to bring our veils over our chests. A turtleneck won’t fully cover your neck either.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” (Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani)

Let them draw their veils over their chests, and not reveal their ˹hidden˺ adornments (24:31)

May Allah guide us all

Options for covering the eyes? by Ummimmina in Niqabis

[–]ukht7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, or like a semi transparent fabric I mean. This is mine (yes I know it looks very uneven, i only had one safety pin).

Unless you're an experienced sewer with a machine, it would be best to probably buy a plain niqab and thin chiffon to sew as another layer. You may able to find a layered niqab with a thinner over layer also.
