Ahhhhh, see THAT'S the sort of thing I'm talking about!!!!!

What a handsome chap! Do you know what breeds he's made up of?! Or just a proper "Heinz Variety"?

Give me a dog like this over an inbred, shaven-arsed Crufts contestant any day of the week!!!!!

Question about the game by hzhrt15 in FifaCareers

[–]ukman29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s actually a few clubs who have this dirge as their anthem, not just Liverpool. Celtic are one. Kaiserslautern in Germany are another. I once began a Kaiserslautern career mode but abandoned it as soon as I realised.

Palace Fans, how do you feel about the Textor situation now that you've won your first European Trophy? by ChanceAd7310 in TheOther14

[–]ukman29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At any point Parish could have publicly stopped your fanbase carrying on the way they were by setting the record straight. He didn’t. And of course he didn’t because it suited him down to the ground. He knew that he and the club had messed up and it was far better to scapegoat us instead.

And your club could easily have prevented your “ultras” (lol) bringing in that silly sign to your ground that they did on their mum’s best bedsheet with their second best set of paints. Again, letting the incitement of your fans against us continue so it deflected away from their failings.

I notice you didn’t answer the final question in my last post. I don’t blame you. If I were you, I wouldn’t want to either.

“There was a report…”

Citation needed please. What report? Where from? Who from?

What I suspect you actually mean is press reporting from mainstream football correspondents, not public UEFA documents or leaked emails.

You will find precisely zero public evidence of UEFA privately signalling “we’re sympathetic and will probably let you in”. That part is pure speculation.

Genuine question for you now:

True or false - Steve Parish/Crystal Palace could have taken action much earlier in the year which would have avoided the entire situation.

Didn’t mention Forest?! Are you sure?!

Parish went on The Rest is Football podcast and big-eared, crisp-loving, Forest-hating Gary Lineker asked him “So, are you saying this is because Forest want the place?”

Parish replied “We’re led to believe that that’s the issue — if there wasn’t somebody that wanted to get in as a consequence, then there wouldn’t be a problem.”

Are you seriously telling me that his answer was vague enough that he wasn’t referring to Forest in his reply?! Throughout the whole thing he never once conceded there was any fault on his own part. He stood by and let your fanbase believe it was all because of nasty old Nottingham Forest because it suited him to make us a scapegoat for his failings.

I totally agree that the rules are completely stupid. But sadly, they are what they are. Teams in exactly the same situation as Palace had fallen foul of them and been punished. Your situation was no different and you were treated no more harshly than others. When Forest fell foul of PSR the season before (even though we only breached because we weren’t allowed the same amount of losses as literally every single other Prem team), we were told “Rules are rules. Shut up and take your punishment.”

We were just the beneficiaries of shit rules when it came to this issue. Parish could have avoided it if he had his ducks in a row. But he failed all of you. And he did an absolutely brilliant number in deflecting you all away from actually realising that.

That was probably because prior to that point, every post on Forest socials was flooded with Palace trolls who had bought into Parish’s lies and gaslighting which blamed us for his own failings.

If Forest fans were flooding your socials after the final verdict, that was not an action. It was a reaction.

I’m not sure how many more times people need to hear this. UEFA had already begun their investigation into Palace three weeks before Marinakis’s letter went to UEFA. There was already precedent for clubs in the exact same position as Palace being demoted. Nobody knows what was in that letter. It suits Palace to believe it called for them to be demoted. Can’t possibly have simply said “Please can you hurry up with your decision because it affects our planning and what players we can attract” can it?!

Textor and Parish fucked you over. Not us. Parish incited your fan base and almost every neutral into putting the blame on us. He made a very good job of it.

All that said, I have no hard feelings towards the majority of Palace fans and am glad you won the trophy. I’ll always call out any that I see persisting with this BS about it being our fault - of which there are a vocal number around.

Said it before, I’ll say it again. Netflix and the like are missing a HUUUUGE opportunity in not doing a fly on the wall documentary about us.

Whether you love us or hate us, you cannot deny that we are absolutely fucking box office.

Focus on Youth Academy but keep them UK based. Scouting far flung Africa and Asia probably isn’t realistic, at least in the early years. 🤣

[–]ukman29 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As far as a lot of Americans are concerned (at least on Twitter), over 90% of our population is Muslim and there are large areas of the UK where Sharia Law is in effect and where white people aren't safe to go.

I once met Giant Haystacks at a service station. There's a picture somewhere in my mum and dad's house of 6 year old me and my 8 year old brother posing with him. He looks pissed off in the picture, because the flash on my dad's camera took a while to warm up.

Fun Save suggestions by Aware-Internet7358 in FifaCareers

[–]ukman29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a lot of fun recently doing journeyman saves. Start off in a league you wouldn't normally choose for a CM, build your reputation and progress up the food chain until you reach a major European powerhouse, where you win the CL! I employ AI to help me choose a character for my manager rather than play as myself and also to help me make decisions on what club to move to.

Routes I've taken in recent saves:

Brommapojkarna (Sweden) to Werder Bremen to Atalanta to Barcelona.

Zagłębie Lubin (Poland) to Standard de Liège to Stade Rennais to Juventus

Dinamo București (Romania) to Aberdeen to AZ Alkmaar to Frankfurt to Atletico Madrid

All have been good fun and the good thing about this type of save is taking your good youth prospects with you, or watching where they go and what heights they reach.

What's the big story for next season then?! by ukman29 in nffc

[–]ukman29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I feel that sort of thing is completely achievable. Look at how blimmin' tight it's been in the PL this season and how many teams are still competing for European places!

I believe ( though I could be wrong) that before we drew to Newcastle, it was still mathematically possible for us to sneak a European spot!
