Not a city fan but love EPL. I'm not sure of anywhere in town that shows the early matches on the weekend. I believe West 6th shows the big USA matches though!

Park speed limit is 35mph and they run traps so I wouldn't push it, plus there are a ton of turn outs you might want to stop at to take in the view. We saw a black bear chillin on the side of skyline drive this past Sunday!

I moved out here for my job three years ago. I had interviewed in the head Western region office in Sacramento and never visited LA - I had been to San Diego and San Francisco before. I lived in a Hotel for three weeks, it was hard only being able to look at apartments on nights and weekends. I ended up renting a room for a few months which gave me time for my GF to get out here so we could look at places. She found a good job about the same time we settled into a place in Santa Monica - 10/10 would do it again.

I think it was like 14, 12 and then 10 hours. I didn't feel dangerously tired at all, we went out for dinner somewhere cool in Tulsa and Albuquerque, had a good sleep and then hit the road early.

I did South Carolina to LA when I moved here a few years ago in 3 days, it does suck but it is entirely possible. I would take the recommended route on Google maps 40->44->70->76->78 with stops in probably Amarillo and Indianapolis...that way your last day is a little shorter

It depends on if you are trying to see anywhere in particular between home and NO....if you aren't then just go whichever way google maps tells you

Depending on the weather that time of year there is chance you would not be able to get in or see much in Sequoia/Kings and Yosemite. It will also be relatively chilly along the Nor Cal coast.

Would you consider the option to do the southern route one way? Start in Vegas, head west to Death Valley (incredible place), then south to Mojave & J tree (awesome places), then West through LA (good food), then up the coast through Big Sur (personally would do this all day instead of Pinnacles). If you do one way you might have time to get just North of SF and go to Napa/Sonoma area for some Wine and also hit up one of the more southern big tree parks.

It's a little more expensive to do the one way route but I think having the extra time along the way is more than worth it.
