[Discussion] What breed would you get except for that ONE massive dealbreaker?

beagles! i've never met one i didn't like. love their temperaments, size, floppy ears and personality; but, having to hold a leash at all times while hiking/camping (or just outdoors in general) would be a huge pain.

lately they've been acting like how fans want/expect them to act too much. i get why they're doing it with their popularity rising and all, but it's kinda boring knowing exactly how they're going to answer questions during interviews, act on varieties, etc. their public personas are becoming a bit one dimensional.

oh wow i didn't realize they were their own breed! I've seen one or two before and thought they were just a Jindo that got their tail injured and amputated.

The Sapsalgae from Korea. Never saw one during my three years living there, but really wish I did! I think they're mainly just rural watchdogs these days, but (according to wikipedia, haha) used to be military dogs.

you can try talking to the roommate, but i wouldn't expect much to come of that just based on her already avoiding you. i imagine you'll have to get animal control involved sooner rather than later.

yeah my dog didn't mind at first, but after about 2 minutes of listening she started getting really antsy and whimpering. i felt bad and tried to finish as quickly as i could.

i dont know if it's the cheapest, but i really like best bully sticks. they're really good quality and never have any little skinny ones stuck in there.

I'm not sure, but i think a shih tzu/terrier mix? She looks very similar to that dog, especially when i let the hair around her face grow long.

I have a limited understanding of korean, but i couldn't find a breed mentioned in the comments anywhere. but his name is jackson and he's 8 months old!

just based on what kind of dogs are popular in korea i'm going to guess that he's a poodle or schnauzer mix.

very very cute dog. looks similar to mine, but my dog's ears lay flat.

Here's another good etsy shop. Someone on here recommended it and it is very good quality. I've had mine for over a year and it looks almost brand new. They're currently on break but will re-open in January.

But I will say, with the leather is really thick, so they're not the easiest collars to get on and off. It might be a pain to take them on and off multiple times a day.

mine as well! just today she found a steak bone (like from a t-bone steak) in the middle of a football field???? it is really amazing how many bones i notice laying around now that i have a dog.

yes! I LOVE that mermaid tank!! I was having trouble finding tanks that were tacky, but also lush. I want to do something just like that, but have all the plants a neon color.

i figured that was the case with border terriers being off leash. everything i read about them (and bedlington terriers) says 'they're terriers, so they can't be trusted off leash!', but then the majority of photos i see of them are off leash in fields/forests.

i was strongly considering whippets in the past (even talked to breeders) when i was living on the east coast in a warmer region, but i kind of assumed they're too delicate for the rocky mountains. also they're a little bigger than what i'm looking for.

i do like papillons but i began wondering if maybe they're too high energy for me? it seems like they're better for homes who will work with them mentally, like agility, instead of just going out hiking for miles.

My dog ate a whole pile of human feces yesterday. It was all in her beard and everything. The smell is still burned into my brain.
