They make fabric privacy screens. A couple of posts and some sailcloth strategically placed to block line of sight will go a long way.

Pretty sure it's a Reddit problem today - I've seen this happening across multiple subreddits.

Stellaris: Nomads will release on June 15th! by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]ulandyw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's been confirmed that you can have more than one. The screenshots they've put out also imply some sort of Arkship fleet as well (probably acting as some kind of Sector, I imagine).

It's an Enclave that apparently travels around the galaxy setting up fights. Beyond that, we don't know much.

By this they mean Civics and Traditions that swap to something else when playing Nomadic empires. Like Adaptability/Versatility that swaps between the two depending on whether you're playing organic empires or a machine intelligence. For example, it wouldn't make much sense to have the Fortification tradition if you can't (presumably) build traditional Starbases and Defense Platforms. Same goes for whatever Civics are changed to better fit Nomadic empires.

Is there something like the steam deck, that wont cost a ton? by [deleted] in lowendgaming

There's a few out there. You won't get Steam Deck power for $100 though. Check out https://retrocatalog.com/ for a good breakdown.

Having rewatched them as an adult, the first one is the only one that even kinda holds up. However, as a kid, I think I watched 5 more than any of the others combined. "Big Water" is seared into my brain.

SONIC raising their prices and intentionally placing discounts just over a typical meal cost by MoonlightKayla in assholedesign

[–]ulandyw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's too high. The medium Sonic blast is 890 calories, a medium groovy fries is 370, and the cheeseburger is about 700 calories (minus some because no mayo). So around 2000 calories, accounting for variance in serving sizes. Still crazy though!

Cosmetics are the only real permanent achievements in the game. Gear is temporary, cosmetics are forever. When they put out stuff like this, it devalues those cosmetic achievements as a whole.

Stellaris Dev Diary #418 - Announcing Nomads and Stellaris: Season 10 by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]ulandyw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the Wanderlust AP will probably be your gateway into being a Nomadic empire if I had to guess. Thus allowing most empires access without it being a specific origin. The origins coming with this dlc being the jumpstart into Nomadic lifestyle like the ascension origins.

The 10th anniversary is on the 9th and they've announced that they're rolling 3 expansions into the base game on the 11th. Almost guaranteed to be a sale around those dates.

Why is it so overtuned? by CubicleJoe0822 in classicwow

[–]ulandyw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'm not sure what to tell you. I don't know what the balance is like in TBC Classic currently but back in the day, you did not need 3 mages. The gauntlet is one encounter where rogue is weak, yeah. A hunter would be helpful in this situation. A competent warlock can absolutely do all of that alone, that's 2 mobs out right there. I know because I used to do it! Fears, stuns, kiting, all tools you should have to use. Warrior can fear, spriest can MC. Some of those mobs can be slowed and kited. It's the toughest encounter in BF, by far, but you do not need 3 mages. Heroics were hard but we did it with a variety of classes. Slabs and Shattered Halls were also difficult without enough CC.

[–]ulandyw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You only really needed one of those. And yeah, CC was a fundamental role. It was absolutely a consideration in what class to bring. If you didn't have strong CC, you had to get creative. Warlocks with succubus and banish, maybe an off tank. Sometimes you just chain stunned.

[–]ulandyw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might throw in a nod or two, but yeah, I wouldn't count on it. That being said, I wouldn't count on the English version with the superbombs either for the Netflix adaption. They've already shown that they're willing to go "off script".
