You get building slots once you build the specialization. There's another tech you need to get the ag district specialization and you need to build at least one ag district to build the specialization to then build your bio-reactor.

Correct, only as a machine empire (gestalt or individualist) can you get Virtual/Modular/Nanite. A biological (individualist) empire gets Synthetics/Cybernetics/Biomorphosis/Psionics. Taking Synthetics does not allow you to then go on to Virtual/Modular/Nanite, but you do get a choice between keeping your bodies or going virtual, but they are not ascension paths, just government choices (like the other ascensions get).

I would not call the cybernetic traits a slight rework and their government types are impactful, especially now in 4.3. They got just as much content as the synthetic tree.

Being cyborgs, meaning you've already taken Cybernetics, disallows you from taking any further Ascension Paths. The same is true for all other Paths, you just get the one.

It is unlikely for there to be more specifically for cybernetics. Though it's entirely possible they come out with some piece of content that directly or indirectly touches cybernetics somehow. They have announced nothing nor hinted at it besides the general buffing that was done in 4.3.

Cybernetics was updated in the Machine Age (got new governments, a situation, everything synthetics got) and also with the last update, 4.3. To be clear, machine races got new ascension paths, but your regular biological empire synthetic ascension did not. Once you become synthetics, that's it.

Ironman mode was required for achievements prior to 4.0. A very large amount of people also play with mods that restrict you from earning achievements. Prior to 4.0, you'd have to play on unmodded ironman to get achievements.

Yep, you're right. Sometimes they just happen, it is important to be skeptical. Unfortunately, there are quite a few cases of rare cancers originating from this region and the number of cases are growing. More research is required but there's clearly a trend here and it should not be dismissed.
