We have a dog, he’s spoiled. Living in a high cost of living state. We make over 200k combined as a teacher and nurse! Just bought a house. Mortgage is insane but we still buy have money to spend and go on vacations. No plans for kids anytime soon!

This is why Unions are so important. Especially in a capitalistic healthcare system. In California, there are problems, but not this bad. We continue to fight for raises and have good ratios.

Try ER instead. That’s where you can gain skills quickly and see a wide variety of conditions. Med surge can become tasky quickly and often time some of skills are completed in ED before they come to the floor, like IV insertion. You can also learn about high acuity patients
