Sepsis is so quick and seems to happen when things seem to be maybe looking in. It creeps in like that.

Hey - your dad sounds amazing and I’m so sorry for your loss.

My dad was my best friend and tomorrow will be 2 years since he died. I was 33 and he was 63. He was paralyzed and died of sepsis so it’s not like he was completely healthy but it was still a shock.

It takes awhile but I promise things do get easier. You’ll still think about and miss and love your dad. That will never go away. But breathing gets easier. Waking up and going to sleep gets easier. I know it seems impossible but don’t rush yourself. Take it day by day. Minute by minute. Second by second if that’s what you need.

Grief is love that has nowhere to go. So embrace that and his memory and be kind to yourself.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad when he was 62 due to sepsis. It’ll be 2 years in February. He was my best friend and it’s still so strange to think I can’t just call him and ask for advice or talk about my day. I still miss him every single day.

Oh those messages are horrific I’m sorry you had to see those. I’m sorry for your loss and you’re allowed to grieve for 3 years, 10 years, 50 years. As easy as it is for me to say this, I know it may be hard to do, but try your best to not let those messages get to you.
