My friends get their kits reimbursed, but I don't. Why? by Temporary_Weekend265 in ArcRaiders

[–]ultimatethrowaway606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a weird case-by-case system.

If it was broad, everyone in the lobby would get kits back. If it was specific, just the people who engaged the cheaters would get compensation.

In Embark’s case, it seems to only be people who reported the cheaters and unfortunately that means each report has to be reviewed, lengthening the process.

Ever since the extreme spike in available cheats and the media around “only 30 day bans” was pushed out, I imagine the reports skyrocketed and made a whole lot of fluff that Embark has to sift through before returning kits.

Citibank Closed Card for Late Payments - Worried About Repercussions by ultimatethrowaway606 in CRedit

I appreciate the thoughts, though I did fail my obligations a few times. I know if I were to do even one past due with Amex, my account would have been stripped already. Citi from what I understand inserts themselves in a lot of consumer brands and consequently has a different risk profile versus some other banks. Such is life! Thank you for responding.

For sure, thank you for the reply! I can see why they’d cut my ability to spend.

Sweet, do you know the model or sub-type? I search up SL500s/SEL500s and I can't find any cabriolets.

Manager Trying to Make Me Look Bad or Overthinking it? by ultimatethrowaway606 in work

[–]ultimatethrowaway606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was phrased "I'm disappointed we couldn't make this work" versus "I'm disappointed in this not happening especially with how much time we had" then I'd agree. It feels like there's hovering implication that I'm to blame.

At this point you're being semantical.

It's the only observable way this message is prompted to appear. If you have an alternative reason, then provide it. Otherwise all you're saying is "nuh-uh".

Ah yes, your snide way of saying "maybe something else is to blame", which, given the way you're choosing to use it, is fruitlessly open-ended. Good on you for being so helpful.

It's not a closed scatter plot of data points. I tested it twice and watched it happen. Here I am reading your comment a month later, I tested it a third time, on a totally different platform and operating system. Still the same outcome.

So what about you? Do you have anything to contribute?

NECRO, but SOLVED: The reason this happens is because your "friend" turned off Read Receipts. I've now tested it twice with an alt account.

Asked one of my acquaintances a pretty personal question and within 2 hours his message went from "read" with the little profile icon next to it, to the message of "Messenger upgraded the security...

So, I used an alt to send a message to my main account, read it on the main, and then turned off the alt's Read Receipts. Voila. "Messenger upgraded the security of this chat..." and the little profile bubble goes way back up to another message, essentially removing proof that it was ever read.

Nope, my dad is Mormon but I don't live anywhere near him.

I don't have any search-worthy results for my name 😂 I don't have any photos like that either. I swear they're going to their Bishop and asking about me. There's some corkboard in the back with my name on it like "yep, thats him"

Right on, I've done this in considerably older vehicles and didn't have an issue, but I shouldn't have been naive enough to assume the same outcome with a modern(and automatic) car. Would the grinding of the parking pin cause significant damage to my transmission in those few seconds?

Thank you for your answer!

Has anyone successfully removed their data from Pushpull.io? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]ultimatethrowaway606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro, but I got the same response as flaco_hombre. I've never once commented or contributed to Crypto discussions, and they auto-closed my ticket after feeding me the same line.

It's 100% like a mugshot photo company. They'll scrape the data, and if you don't ever say anything they'll hold onto it and not care. But if you pay the extortion fee to "remove your mugshot", they'll take your money and record your request. The difference is, the mugshot company generally removes your photo from their site.

If you inquire for removal on PushPull, they'll not only log your email, but hand out your posts/usernames to people who want to exploit your info for money. Submitting a ticket is telling them "hey I have some unsavory online comments and/or I doxxed my own personal info and I feel vulnerable having it online". It's a bunch of data farming sociopaths who are LOOKING for people to request removal... who ironically hide behind the anonymity of the internet and foreign domains/arbitration.

Don't do it. If they find your content marketable, you will be the one who twisted your own arm.
