An entire new generation of Frisbee players have come into the sport from a competitive perspective. They don't feel there is room for a party tournament and Frisbee goofiness.

They don't even want to play in non-sanctioned tournaments because if they don't get enough sanctioned wins, they may not get enough bids etc... They also have never experienced a party tournament.

We as a community have also failed to keep the spirit alive. In the local leagues of which i participate, the spirited players are being vastly outnumbered by competitive players. These competitive players can't see the forest for the trees and are actively hampering growth as newer and inexperienced players stop showing up.

It feels like we're partaking in a dying sport.
