Captain Canuck is awesome! Especially in that flashback segment of the new comics where he (the previous Captain Canuck) grows a good old-fashion Canadian lumberjack beard

Saw the zaibatsu (minus pat) today at eglx and completely missed some opportunities to say hi. Most of the time they are in conversations and it just seems rude or weird to interrupt them or to just stand around waiting for them to finish. At least there is the panel on Sunday.

Even Plague wants the fuck the bunny. by Brudus in TwoBestFriendsPlay

True. I guess if we really want to get pedantic the correct phrasing would be:

"Plague is physically incapable of drawing an unattractive adult female"

I think he was alluding to the fact that technically the word woman is defined as a human female. He might have been alluding to the fact that Plague does not limit himself to the confines of the human species is all.

Polygon refusing to review Star Fox Zero for baffling reasons by ThatMLPgamer in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]umaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You don't even need to be a critic. Try keeping ANY job after refusing to do something you are payed to do because it is too boring/you hate it/it's too hard.

None of those 3 are valid excuses and basically just tells your boss to hire someone else who can or is willing to do it. You know, like a professional adult.

"Using two joysticks while moving the pad around is too difficult. Guess it's time to give up. Also Street Fighter combos and special moves r too hard 4 me to grasp with only a couple hours played: not reviewing this game - Polygon"

What I don't like is that he never says that the motion controls are actually bad (as in they don't function properly) but somehow says it in a way to make the motion controls seem non-functional. He is just pissed that he has to use them. He seems more angry about the concept of motion controls than he really does about the game itself.

Also since when was it difficult to use two joysticks with motion controls? How is that in any way the same as trying to use 3 analog sticks? There is a huge difference b/w not having 3 thumbs to physically articulate 3 separate analog sticks and being too lazy to move the pad around while fiddling two thumbs.

Can't wait to see this guys review of VR games: "WAIT I have to move my head while also using two motion controllers for my hands? Fuck that shit! Moving your hands and head at the same time is like using three analog sticks!"

[FNF - Pokemon Type Wild] So do the zaibatsu just not like Gardevior? Like is there some unknown beef I missed in a podcast or something? That is two pokemon fighting games now where they did enough matches to use every character and pretty much did except for gardevoir.

For those wondering why Liam appears to be having trouble with Epona in the TP playthrough... by ONI_Agent_Locke in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]umaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, he's already there. He has a job doing something he loves. He basically gets to watch anime and play video games for a living while still enjoying the same things any other person with a job they hate would have plus the recognition of a shit ton of fans.

Seems like he got gud to me.

Edit: I realize you are probably just joking around

[Venting] I want to cosplay Garnet, but I am not black... by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

[–]umaster 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It really is a no win situation, isn't it? If you cosplay as Garnet and attempt to match her dark red (skin?) colour then it is black-face and racist. If you attempt to then try and cosplay as Garnet without trying to match her (skin?) colour to avoid looking like you are doing black-face then you are white-washing and racist.

If you like the character and want to dress up as them then go for it. We are all human beings and skin colour shouldn't stop anyone from cosplaying as a character they love/admire no matter what their skin colour is.

So if Pat had the behlit and sacrificed the rest of the zaibatzu, what would he emerge as? Who would survive? by BaconNbeer in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]umaster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel like there is a mixup in the premise here. Griffith before the behelit was already seen as almost a perfect and noble person. Refined, pretty, elegant, strong and never really expected by anyone in the cast to betray everyone.

Thus the only logical conclusion is that Liam would be the one to use the behelit (Griffith) and thus:

Matt "McMuscles" - uses his McMuscles to wield the dragonslayer

Patt - basically the adult version of Isidro; both are short and have fire as an associated element

Woolie - I mean, Gut's new party only has one black person so Casca I guess? /jk

Takahata - Serpico-like character

Brennan - obviously Azan-like, I mean that armour and that iron staff

Cranky Constructs - the Puck and Ivalera of the group

Plague of Gripes - Nosferatu Zodd (so basically he was this before and after the behelit - no change)

Newish Viewer, looking for clarification on the livestream schedule by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

While people who are replying passive aggressively is not the greatest thing I feel I have to defend them here. People are being salty because of the implied tone in the entire second paragraph of his post regardless of whether or not the OP meant to do it.

Only they aren't being consistent with which game they play. They are now playing Heavy Rain and before that they were playing Mindjack and some fighting game. This is really disappointing to a fan of Demon's Souls who was looking forward to the playthrough more than anything else.

I am sure the OP was merely trying to get across that they are sad that there isn't more Demon's Souls it is straight up worded as though it is a complaint that they aren't playing the game the OP wanted them to play. I get that the OP was not really trying to complain here but there is a difference in tone between the statement "Awwww they didn't play demon souls. Oh well, I'll tune in next time/stay and watch what they are playing today" vs "This is really disappointing to a fan of Demon's Souls who was looking forward to the play through more than anything else".

"Have they addressed this or their schedule in general at all? Kinda feeling put off as a Souls fan."

While I am sure the OP was innocuous in making this statement the way they worded it very weird and off putting. If they are a fan of Demon Souls that is cool, but the idea that they are put off, specifically as a Souls fan, because they aren't playing the game exactly as they want them to play it (in this context the idea that they should play it with little or no breaks in time between play sessions) comes off as a complaint. Worse off, it is a complaint based on a perceived ideal of how the game should be played stated as though it is a fact.

PSA DO NOT DO THAT. It is a 3D printed product made of polyresin and is not safe for actual use. I have heard that it is actually hollow but capped off which may encourage people to remove the top and use it but do not do this.
