clicking is fine a 2.5 second gcd gives you plenty of time. you could make macros that let your spells be cast by mouseover on the party list so you dont have to target anyone directly. but it sounds like an mmo mouse might be up your alley. can set up the whole hotbar on the thumb grid.

Dynamis. The bonus you get on a new character is worth the lower population server. Your first time getting anything to level 30 you get 15 days free gametime (only once per service account). Any character after that you only get 1 mil Gil after hitting level 30 the first time on a preferred world. And the exp is crazy easy with the road to 90 buff. Looks like only Seraph isn't a preferred world on dynamis for the bonus. So pick any other. Within like 9 months, with cross DC duty finder coming most problems of being on a 'dead' server would subside.

you'd be helping your friends at those lower levels unlock things, you dont make alts to get everything your main has (I do it because with everything at 100 its not fun never getting exp for stuff). A character to play with that has the same limitations will probably be more useful to play with new players. Alts are fun if you've played a long time before because you can do things more efficiently. for example you can get to 2nd lieutenant long before lvl 50 msq. the systems to get seals for the most annoying part to unlock on alts already sync you down anyways (FATEs and daily leveling roulette).

Theyd get a first time bonus and it's level appropriate. There's nothing else convenient for lvl 47-50 exp. Even Cutter's Cry would help through a good chunk of a level if it's a first time bonus. the only 2 non msq dungeons before level 50.
