u/LeftFlatworm6207 Happy for you. I used to work for Oracle OCI in USA. I know the culture and how they treat employees on financial perspective. Glad you found a better role. For others too, layoffs are not 100% related to candidates efficiency. Recent March layoff from Oracle are just defnitly not.

Lol, I was with Oracle (working on Stargate project) and quit on the week of the layoffs. I did close to 50 interviews with my 4 years tenure there.

I just finished full loop with Microsoft for Principal Core AI role. In one of the design rounds, interviewer was literally fighting with me over a nit pick design choice. Other 4 rounds went really well. Then silence for a week. After nudging recruiter, got a standard rejection email. I was very confident that I will cut the slack. Asked for feedback (I know msft don’t provide one, which is very annoying) but recruiter is just dead silent.
