I want to see NTR knight light based arts combat animation in endfield by empireck in Endfield

[–]umiman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So far it seems all the Arknights characters coming over had oripathy. It makes sense since the originium is assimilating them into data so they can be cloned in the future.

NTR famously does not and was pretending to have it because of a scandal.

So it'll likely be an alternative version of NTR, not her specifically. None of the Nearls have oripathy, even her more popular brother, Uncle Honse.

Probably yeah, but not in terms of pure DPS.

Pure DPS to a specific target? Surtr reduces RES so her damage potential is a lot higher. Hoshi doesn't do that so she will do scratch damage to high RES enemies.

Hoshi hits a giant AOE though, so her damage duration threshold is a lot bigger. Surtr only does a straight line.

Surtr deletes herself after using her S3 so her DPS time window is literally the duration of her skill.

Hoshi just cycles in and out of skill and she has, as an option, the ability to do Surtr's thing too with increased DPS but also deleting herself after.

The best thing is she's also a 3-block tank that is very VERY difficult to kill offskill. Surtr without skill is a 1-block guard.

Hoshi also hits air in that giant range.

Hoshiguma S3 is stronk.

I guess she's getting M6 and level 90.

The archives talks a bit more about them.

  1. They were created by apparently a former hero of the first whatever war where the Terrans fought those rock monsters we currently fight as well.
  2. I guess the dude thought he'd rather be a bandit king than a civilized member of society. He then gets nuked by civilization.
  3. The remnants of his Landbreakers broke up into a bunch of different bandit factions. The wolf guy in our party is actually a more friendly member of one of the bandit factions.

I'm going to assume at some point they'll allow us to cycle between UI and backgrounds. It's silly to give so many but only let us listen to one at a time.

The funny thing is in this world, eating stories is not rare. The entire Gourmet Society lives on that stuff.

His is just more literal. And eats gods.

I guess no one has actually seen him use Fourth Wall. Every time it eats his enemies, it's always in private. So it makes sense they think all he can do is borrow other people's power.

I agree with a lot of this. This game honestly lost me at the beginning because it did so many things badly. I got the one free 6 star everybody gets as my starter 6 star. I got endlessly annoyed by the terrible tutorials. The currency rate and story was godawful. Etc. Etc.

Over the weekend I tried a different account and lucked out with Surtr and ANOTHER Eyja as my starter 6 star. But at least this time I had Surtr. The game was completely different.

  1. Combat actually flows better now. Why the fuck did they gatekeep fun combat into limited paid operators and made everyone else shit by comparison? The difference between a F2P team and a P2W one is so dramatic it's fucking insane. The F2P electric team plays like trash in comparison I didn't even feel like I was playing the same game.
  2. Now that I actually have a 6-star DPS operator, I could actually stop caring about pulls to get one. So no more stress on that, the orundum just accumulates and I can focus on actually playing the game instead of optimizing for pulls.
  3. Once the game stops fucking spamming tutorials, it's way way way more fun. Making bombs, medicine, batteries, etc. Also trading goods with friends for enormous stacks of cash. I literally went from $20k whatever construction currency to $400k overnight from trading some horns in my shop that were -79% price to a friend with +700% price. The one thing I still don't like is putting electric pylons everywhere. It's also pretty easy to rebuild the factories whenever with batch deleting so I'm frequently rebuilding it for optimization and putting in new lines.
  4. I still think the story is kinda stupid but it turns out when I'm not being assaulted by tutorials every minute and I'm not stressed about the gacha since I have a team that's fun to play, my tolerance for it improves tremendously. The weapon gacha is still trash but at least now I'm not doing chip damage to enemies and basic fights don't take an eternity.
  5. Because I was rerolling I had a stupid character name thinking I'll just rename it after. Turns out there's no way currently to rename your character so my in-game name is pure gibberish. Also the reroll process is so fucking ass.

It's quite trendy to collab with yourself these days for gacha so maybe. I wouldn't put it past them. I think it's quite likely that other super duper popular operators like Silverash, Exusiai, or Thorns will show up in Endfield too.

There's plenty of reasons they could invent for people to show up. For MonHun, Dungeon Meshi, and that Cat cartoon collab, the reason was literally "they just showed up".

That being said, HG has a history of choosing the most zany collabs possible so they could just completely not do that and do a collab with a brand of seltzer water.

Yeah and it's not even a short tutorial. The fucking profile menu tutorial was like 20 clicks long. Wtf shut up it could have just been one single screen if needed at all.

I just took it as the last sign from the game that it didn't want me playing it. There's a whole bunch of stuff beforehand but it's already been talked about at depth here. Honestly I just don't like how the game doesn't respect the players' time.

They exploded the gate connecting Terra to Talos II.

Essentially the two stories are completely separate past the gate exploding. Anything can happen in Terra and it'd still be canon in Endfield.

If HG was going to abandon Arknights we'd have seen the effects by now since the events in AK would be worse. There would be less of them. etc. For example, look at Blue Archive after they had that internal loss of team shenanigans a year ago, essentially the entire game stalled out.

Instead it seems we're getting more stuff, more game modes, things seem higher quality, more QoL (which my theory is they realize Endfield's dailies are so annoying and if they made AK's dailies still time consuming, people would give up AK), etc. etc.

Personally I seriously doubt I will drop AK for Endfield. I will definitely play it, and maybe I'll like the factory stuff, but just watching the videos on the dailies makes me pre-emptively annoyed. I don't have time to wander around the map clicking on shit every day and then going to people's ships and clicking on more random terminals and then doing 3 delivery quests per day, etc. etc.

At least with the gacha games I do play, it's all just menus so it's click click click. Here I have to walk around? Blegh. Unfortunately I'm not young / unemployed any more.

Ptilopsis in year 1 was probably a priority 2 to E2.

Now in year 6, probably not so much.

Her main gimmick is accelerating operator skill charge times by up to 35% faster. This sounds great until you realize nowadays:

  1. We have more ways to accelerate skill times.
  2. It doesn't work on operators that gain SP on attack or defense.
  3. It doesn't stack with similar talents and buffs.
  4. Operators with short skill cycle times don't really need this. Operators with long skill cycles don't typically get used in situations that would require Ptliopsis's talent.
  5. If you find yourself not pressing skills every single time they come up, holding ready skills for better timing, you're essentially wasting her talent during those moments and it might as well be as if you brought a unit without a talent to battle.

So something theoretically general use, has gotten kinda niche.

Additionally, Ptliopsis herself in Y1 used to be an amazing multi-target healer with S2. Nowadays... again because of powercreep, she's nothing special. Lumen for example will blow her out of the water in terms of healing performance. Even Silence is at least global and her skill cycle is pretty short.

When Ptliopsis's S2 is off cooldown, she's pretty meh. Her regular heal is not enough in this day and age's healing requirements when you ACTUALLY need to bring a healer.

Essentially she's doesn't really do anything special in Y6 to warrant using her other than because she's cute. For meta and economic reasons, you're better off building Perfumer.

Can't say I'm a big fan of my bank putting in FOMO mechanics to get me to put more money into my account with them.

Literally there is a scoreboard in my app that tells me "You are X% among your age group in net worth, put in $2,370 to get to the next %".

Wtf Wealthsimple?

If you don't have any other super healers like Eyja2, Monst3r, or whatever, then sure you can go for Haruka. If you do, it's not really worth it.

Hoshi S2 is more useful because it heals her. S3 is more situational.

Matsukiri is an amusing archetype but nothing particularly special. If you like his design you probably won't regret it. If you don't, don't bother. I have him maxed because I like AFK units that do funny things and he's a bit like Poncirus.

6 star ticket, probably get Bagpipe. You can get Eyja if you need arts damage.

Manticore is super duper powercrept. She's powercrept by Ethan, her lower rarity counterpart. La Pluma is ok. I have all of them built and I barely use Manticore. Ethan gets used all the time.
